PS3 Exclusives?

In ~2 weeks i'll be getting the PS3 i've been hiding at my store for the longest time, and i want to know some good PS3 exclusives.

So far the games i'm getting with it are Uncharted and R&C. I'm wary to buy UT3 after i heard Osiris talk about it while playing CoD, and i don't think i want to play full price for heavenly sword. Are there any other good exclusives that i'm missing out on? I don't think i'll be getting any multiplats on the PS3 unless it isn't a shooter.
 
Resistance: Fall of Man (a must I say), Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, and the rest I can think of are sports games that I don't have a particular interest in. I'm sure Firestreak can suggest more :P

oh yes, you should get Warhawk, it really is fun to play and the dropships are just oh so fun now.

If you like baseball, the MLB: The show series is the best. But wait for 08 to come out at this point.

Folklore is great if you're interested in an action/rpg where you steal souls and learn their special attacks. Tons of good PSN games... personal favorite is Gripshift, but Everyday shooter, calling all cars and PAIN are good picks too.
 
Uncharted and Warhawk i would recomend. Not much like those 2 on 360. I am just going off the fact you own a 360. Resistance if you like the shooters that much, its overrated but very long and did not make me sad once during my play through. I rather just stick to what we have on 360 in that dept tho. Folklore is not that bad, i kinda enjoy it. Its different. R&C is not a bad choice, again not much like that on 360. Other things rent first man. $60 needs to go further for me atm in alot of games now a days lol.

Fucking buy it if you have any appreciation for the FPS, because it's the best one out there.

Heavenly Sword would be a good renter, just like God of War. Short game but fun and worth a play through (so I hear, haven't played it myself yet).
 
LAIR is worth renting I'd say :P hell, I'd say it's worth a buy (specially if you find it cheaper) but that's prolly my little bias toward things dragony and I did enjoy it.
 
I concur with owning Resistance. It's a wonderful FPS to pass the time. Lengthy play time as well.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma, if and only if, you don't own any of the other previous incarnations of this frustrating game. The difficulty is upsetting at some points, but well worth it.

Heavenly Sword is good, but I recommend renting vice purchasing. While rather short, it is a beautiful game.

Call of Duty 4, I recommend on buying. (Reminds me of my time over there...) It's an awesome game.

Ratchet & Clank is a fun game. I don't own it, but I've played a good deal of it to recommend it as a purchase.

These are the games I recommend as warranting a purchase. Other games are either port/multiplatorm games, or just random ol' filler titles of your preference.

You know what I really hope they have come to the consoles? Battlefield games :D specially 1942. That was my favorite, no doubt.

The only time I remember that happening in the battlefield series was the demo of the very first game; but they fixed it with a patch pretty fast. They have other problems like a complete lack of an actual single-player mode(same game as MP just with bots is not single player) and the fact that every game is exactly the same as their last; but the accuracy thing I haven't seen in a long time.
 
hehe, I just liked the idea of the game. And Battlefield 1942 always worked fine for me.. the single player was meh but they were more multiplayer games as I saw em.
 
I forgot about Resistance, i'll probably be getting that. I don't think i'll get Warhawk, because i don't really want an online only game. That was a big reason i didn't get Shadowrun. I still don't think i'll get UT3, unless it were to come to the 360. I already have CoD4 on my 360 and everyone i play with plays it on there. I wouldn't get it on another platform and try to play with a new set of people.

Is user mods the only thing that is going to be different? Because chances are ~100% that i wouldn't use them anyways. I don't see how its going to be "far worse".

I'd rather have it that way instead of the headache method of getting them on to the PS3. They couldn't have made it any more retarded.

Plus, I just stick to the base game most of the time. Most mods are garbage. Notable exceptions from UT2004 are Air Buccs, Alien Swarm, Jail Break(Been a fan of it since Quake II,) and Red Orchestra(which you'll never see another free version of again.)

Levels on the other hand, are going to be sorely missed.

UT fans really seem finicky about mods though. Even the popular/great ones die out amazingly fast. RO was probably one of the longest lasting ones for UT2004.

In my opinion, the whole point of games like Half-Life 2 and UT3 is that companies like Valve and Epic love their users to create for their mods and actually aid in creation of them by basically making them open-sourced.

Of course, my favorite one ever is when a friend and I made our own version of bullet time for Half-Life. What it basically did was allow us to attach a hot key to the bullet time, and when we hit it, it would drop the speed of bullets and enemy speed to an incredibly low speed, but would allow the user to stay at full speed. It would look like the damn Matrix. ^^

Then there was the gun that instead of killing things, turned them into kittens lol

But not everyone likes mods.
