PS3 is hurting!

I was just wondernig these things and if there's a pattern between them..

Name of Game
Type of Game
Single or Multiplayer (not online)
Online ability
Name of System

Are a lotta games that are eye candy, 1P?
What genre are most of the games ppl are waiting for?
Are there a lotta offline multiplayer (multi meaning 3+) games people are waiting for?

Very few games actually used up a full DVD and no games used a full dual-layered DVD. There is no real need for 25-50 gigs of storage when your games don't even use 9. And as skaw said, you could always just release a second game. It'll be years, if ever(and I doubt it'll ever happen), that any game at all would use up a full blu-ray's worth of storage.

That's why I said potential lol I know it hasn't been done yet, but what if...

First Person Shooter: DOnt like FPS
Sports Simulations (includes racing)
RPG: Pokemon Diamond/Pearl (i dont care what others think, the core Poekmon gameengine is still one of my favorite RPGs ever. PLus Pokemon Diamond/Pearl is going to outsell anything this year till the holiday season =)
Multiplayer FFXI
Multiplayer: SSB
Anything from Atlus and Nippon Ichi. I really believe whaeter next-gen system those companies decide to move onto after Ps2 (which I believe is going to be PS3) is going to be a huge boost. FF13, KH3 and Mario Galaxies

Great video. Wii realy set itself appart from xbox and playstation with the new controlers. Theres just no beating Wii in some times... like maden or golf... Just being able to point controler at TV to control actions.

As for blue-ray and HD-DVD, I would holp HD-DVD would win the battle. So I would not need a DvD player AND a blue ray player. Could just buy a HD-DVD player, and throw away DvD players. (cant play DvDs on blueray players).

PS3 still on shelve in my city. Makes me laugh at the people who baught them on Ebay that first week. Thay got "F.ed in da A"

HD-DvD is about 5feet underground
Blu-Ray is "Stomping the Yard" They are out selling and out producing.

And when people say the PS3 is "WHAT THE FUCK TO EXPENSIVE!" Look at what it offers. As of right now its the only system with a built in wireless internet connection. Blu-Ray player, HDMI, and (like the Wii) Full Wireless controller and (unlike the Wii) You dont need to fuck with batterys

The Playstation must of had to do something right, or the 360 would not be re-releasing with HDMI hook up. While on the 360, buying the system and the HD-Player it comes to a total of 600.

I am not bias in anyway. I own a Wii 360 and a PS3. I like them all for different reasons.

I rest my case.. that truly sums up everything in this whole thread. It just hasn't been PS3's time to shine atm.. Just wait and see if things will change for the better or for the worse for each system, that's it.

We are not clones... otherwise.. there wouldn't even be a 'console war' to begin with.

Wrong. Wii? And only if you get the $600 version.

Blu-Ray player, HDMI,

Great. Wonderful. For the 50 million worldwide homes with an HDTV setup. Even in the US HD isn't much more than 10% of the market share (and half of those homes or more aren't getting HD content with their TV.) Even by 2011 HDTV may not make up 25% of the total market. For the rest of us who aren't comfortable spending $1000 for a decent size and quality HDTV now those features mean nothing. What's the benefit of being on the bleeding edge of technology when, even if EVERYONE ON THE PLANET WHO OWNS A HDTV ALSO OWNS A PS2, you still have around 60 million PS2 owners on SDTVs who could give a shit about playing Portmania 2: The Portening in 1080i. In 3 or 4 years Blu-Ray and HDMI will be selling points to a bigger percentage of potential owners. Today, they're 'why the fuck should I pay $600 for this?' points.

and (like the Wii) Full Wireless controller and (unlike the Wii) You dont need to fuck with batterys

I'll give you this. Even with third-party solutions out there for the Wii I think a rechargeable battery pack and cradle/cable should have been bundled in.

The Playstation must of had to do something right, or the 360 would not be re-releasing with HDMI hook up. While on the 360, buying the system and the HD-Player it comes to a total of 600.

So far the HDMI 360 hookups aren't much more than conjecture(though I wouldn't be suprised if it were true) and as for the HD-DVD player, it costs 600 IF YOU WANT THAT FEATURE. I had the option of paying $400 for a 360 without that and took it. With the PS3 I'm forced to shoulder the extra cost of features I can't take advantage of without spending even more money. So I didn't.

I am not bias in anyway. I own a Wii 360 and a PS3. I like them all for different reasons.

PS3- For Innovatoin and Blu-Ray
Wii- For ADD people
360- For games

what

If anything, Wii is for people without ADD, since those with concentration problems would be severely turned off from someething that requires focus to play.

To Cubs:
I was saying why i like all the systems for different reasons. And i thought Wii was plug-in. I have yet to connect my Wii to the internets

What requires so much focus in wii games that isn't there in other systems. I'm assuming you aren't talking about waving the controller at the right time, rather than pressing the D-pad at the right time.

By people with ADD, i am refering to the constant movement, and unable to sit still. The Wii is a godsent for those children.

Maybe you missed it before, but the PS3 has practically zero innovation. It's just an improvement on the current features of the PS2, graphics and processing; the 360 is the same. Wii is the only one with any actual innovation, because they are the only ones actually doing something new, not just upgrading the graphics.

Kelyon said:
gimmick? That's why I said practically, but it's a gimmick so they can say "our console does motion sensing too!" more than any real innovation. Even if you think six-axis is any real innovation, the Wii is still about 3 orders of magnitude more innovative than the PS3.

give me a fucking break. Are you telling me that people didnt think the same thing about the Wii? They sell their system based on their motion sensor. It will entertain for awhile then be recycled, just like the Gamecube.

What the hell are you talking about, when was the gamecube recycled?

Edit: there's a world of difference between the gimmick of the six-axis and the wiimote; one is the basis of the console, the other is just something sony tacked on at the last minute to try to compete with the Wii.

They didn't innovate anything, they took old technology and that is why their manufacturing costs are so much lower.

360 and xbox made their consoles bigger, faster, stronger while nintendo decided graphics aren't important.

Nintendo took a corvette and put navigation and onstar on it, 360 and xbox took a corvetter and juiced the engine up and put on some racing slicks.

Gimmicks are fun for a while, but i want my games to look better with each new system I buy.

360 has the games to take advantage of their new upgrades, ps3 doesn't, and wii is still making little kids games.

When i could buy the thing for the price of a 360 game.
So when the console was 5 years old and dropped because it got discontinued? Shit, then the PS2 and the Xbox are going to be recycled soon too. Seriously, you're saying that the Wiimote is a gimmick because eventually the system will be worth a lot less than it is now?
