PS3 sells out - Gamestop and EB preorders

I managed to get 3 pre-orders, hahaha.

two from two different EBs and one from a gamestop.

Selling these bitches up on ebay.

Anyone wanna buy one? hahaha
 
I'm gonna go down tomorrow morning first thing and try to get the pre-order they have on the wii. they say it should be completely sold out within 30 minutes of opening.

Yeah, I had a gang of people at different EBs/Gamestops accross the city getting pre-orders for me, they said it was insane, and the EB I went to, people were fuckin camping out outside.

More like it'd be really pathetic if they didn't sell out. 400,000 consoles is so low that it'd almost be impossible to not sell them all.

Remember, 100,000 of it was for Japan.

I can almost see it now. Wii Pre-orders not selling out Day 1(tomorrow,) Sony clamouring that their system is obviously better since it did so well percentagewise in preorders compared to Nintendo.

No, it was 500,000 - 100,000. Atleast that was the original plan. Forgive me if its been changed since it was first announced.
 
I was 8th in-line I dunno where the other two cronies were in their lines, I just know I ended up with 3 out of the 8 I wanted >:/

The Gamestop I work at is getting 14, but we're getting the most in our district, I think.
 
Hate to rain on everyone's parade, but remember, in the retail business, pre-orders for systems mean shit honestly. For the 360 launch, our store was guaranteed 19 Premium models, and then literally one week before launch we were told, "Oh, Microsoft sent less then expected, your only getting 9." Same happened when the PS2 first launched, and the PSP. The DS barely had any reserves when I remember it coming out, so it met it's allocated shipment.

Don't go spending money that's not there till you actually got those systems in your hands is all I'm saying. Good luck though, I remember reading that Sony was shutting down eBay auctions for pre-orders already, so perhaps they'll be keep a eye when the system launchs, but there's usually ways around it.
 
The gamestop I called is getting 40 Wii's

So they say, at least, and they haven't been wrong yet.

Just showed this to a couple friends here at home... and they agree whole-heartedly with that picture, as do I. Mostly because it's a virtually-true statement to Sony's outlook on things, or so it seems - and also quite true to Nintendo's.
