I bought a Dreamcast for $20 Saturday and grabbed some games for it. I decided to try out PSO only to find out that Sega shut off the servers for the DC version at the first of THIS MONTH. Thankfully, I found a private server and I'm working on jumping on it.

Now, I don't have dial-up and I can't afford $150+ for a DC broadband adapter but luckily I stumbled upon this guide that shows you how to network your PC and DC through the modem in order to share the internet connection.

Has anyone else yet to go through all of this in order to start up some DC PSO? Also, how decent is the game itself?

I thought they shut off those servers nearly 3 years ago.

To be honest, you'd be better off just playing PSO EP 1 and 2 on the Gamecube. The regular PSO is pretty outdated compared to the GC version.
