so i heard that with blue tooth technology the ps3 can stream stuff to the psp anywhere in the world. so if you're running final on the ps3 (naturally) can you play it from the psp?

PS3 can stream media(music, video picture files), some remote-play enabled PS3 games(only know of Lair), and PS1 games, either downloaded from PSN store or on disc form if it's inside the PS3.

You can turn the PS3 on remotely from the PSP and access it anywhere that there's wireless internet.

What's really useful is that the PS3 can in turn be streaming from your PC, so you can access your PC's media files from your PSP anywhere.

Yeah, not everything works. I have been using it to play PS1 games while at work. Nothing better than popping in my ChronoTrigger, setting up remote play, and being able to play it on a handheld anywhere with wireless internet.

Yep. Pretty cool, eh?

Yeah, I got the Origins/Chronology/Anthology trio, along with FFT and 7-9. Also Suikoden 1 and 2 and Xenogears(playing that currently). Thinking about buying Wild Arms on the PSN store too, but there's so many games I already own I still have to beat. Hopefully the PSP2 will have a 2nd nub and be able to play PS2 games. A portable FF12 would be godlike. Hell, a portable FF11 might get me exping.

i tried this with my psp and i couldnt get it to work cause my router is wired and not wireless am i doing it wrong?

What you need to get this to work.

1, you need to sync your PSP to your PS3, use the same cord you use to charge your controllers.

2. Your PS3 has to be able to access the internet - wired or wirelessly.

3. Your PSP has to be able to access a wireless network. If you've got a school network that demands you log in via your browser to access, it's not going to work.

4. Try putting your PS3 in remote play mode first, due the fancy remote turn-on, shut-down stuff later.

also make sure your PSP's firmware is updated. That was something I had to do before my PSP worked with my PS3 :P

how do i update firmware if i cant get a wireless connectiong?

You can also go into remote play directly between your PSP and PS3 without having to go online, assuming you're close to the PS3.

It works, although kind of pointless if you want to play games lol

unless you wanna watch TV while playing a PS1 game or such :P then it's nice

When I grill, I am a whole new person. I don't think I would be able to handle a game in that situation lol Still the coolest functionality I have seen between a handheld and console.

Depends what you're grilling. Hot dogs are gonna burn too fast. Now burgers are possible, especially with a turned based RPG where you can just put it down to flip. Steak, no problem depending on how much you marinade.

As for twitch action games, I haven't actually tried one but I doubt the connection would be fast enough for that. The only PS1 game I actually still own that isn't an RPG is Twisted Metal 2 and Metal Gear Solid. Rest is just Final Fantasies, Suikodens and Xenogears.

Dude, can I play my Legend of Dragoon on my psp this way?

Nope, since its laggyish. LoD would suck due to the button presses and shit.
