I finally got my PSP (won it in a sweepstakes thingy ^^) and decided to test it out in my favorite FFXI forum :P

i've posted a couple times from my psp. Make sure you get the 2.0 software upgrade. Dunno if you're using the WipeOut Pure hack or not, but get the 2.0v with the built in browser. Much easier
 
Over half of my posts are from my PSP off of my neighbors wireless net. :lol:

They're not the same style of machine and they have different games and uses. My DS was a paperweight until the past few months and now I'm finally getting some good games for it. I have about the same number for PSP but tend to use it more as a media player. They're both nifty at what they do.

As far as I'm concerned.. the DS and PSP both fail in the gaming library. PSP makes a good portable movie watcher, MP3 player, and access to the internet :P the DS doesn't have anything I'd want to spend money on. So far.. I'll go with the GBA SP being the best XD

Only thing the PSP has for it is the media stuff, the joystick is worthless and the games are stuff I've played already.

On the other hand the DS has given a much more intuitive control device that, when put into good use (meteos, metroid demo, etc.) makes for a GREAT time.

Ty, I wasn't about to shell out however much they cost, just to play one game :P

Considered dumping some snes/nes roms onto it, but then I read about the "PSP Brick" virus and was like (No, thanks.) and updated to the new firmware stuffs, and that's where my OP originated from ^^

I find Untold Legends a worthwhile game, especially for an old Diablo I/II player since I had long given those games up, and I'm dying to outdo my buddy who's had the game much longer than I have XD
 
Downgrade your PSP to 1.5 and play every pre-N64 game ever. Even pre-Liberty City Stories that alone has made my PSP worth twice what I paid for it.

Even though the current PSP game crop is shallow (of course, you could say the same for the first 9 or so months of the DS library) the homebrew is amazing. Playing FFIV/VI/Gunstar Heroes during maintenence = win.

I think I'm going to go to Walmart and deficate all over the PSP case, because that's the only way Nintendo said I could be a fanboy again after they found out I spent more money on Xbox titles than Gamecube ones . . .

after that I have to buy a DS and sacrifice a virgin (or a shopping cart full of babies) to Myamoto because I didn't buy a DS on launch, or at all for that matter.

what? I'm pointing on the hypocrisy, that's all. You know that if I was "just joking" you guys would bitch and moan and complain until the end of the thread. That guy comes in and it's "ok".. it's bullshit. THat's all.


And yes.. the PSP is seriously lacking in the gaming library for its price. I am either waiting for price drop (A long wait..), I win the lotto (not gonna happen), I win in a contest (also not gonna happen), or a for a present (doubtful I think). Oh well.. DS has the same reasons I don't wanna buy.
