Anybody buy one? Planning on buying one?

I'm picking up mine tonight after work.

If and when they make a way to transfer your UMDs to a usable format, I may get one myself, but until that time I'm gonna stick with the one I have.

Same here, no way going to get one till I can transfer my UMD games onto it for FREE. Not paying twice for same game.

I gotta agree with this statement. The idea of PSP go is awesome and personally I do want one. But why the hell should I have to pay for a game again if I already have it on UMD? It's an annoying marketing ploy but it seems to be working on those with extra disposable income.

I dont even care about my UMDs... This thing costs just about as much as a PS3 atm... wtf.

Yea verily. If it hits a reasonable price, I'll think about it.

$250 is just way too much for me to drop on a handheld system. I'm cheap.

I only own three UMDs, so the UMD thing, while still incredibly shitty, doesn't bother me that much. I prefer the idea of a digital collection of games where I can switch from game to game whenever I want, rather than have to carry a bunch of discs with me.

The price is really high, but I'm getting $130 for my psp 3000 plus whatever I get for trading in the three UMDs I do own. It shouldn't be too bad.

While not exactly executed as well as it could have been, I'm excited for it. I hope that when the PSP 2 comes out, it has a touch screen for using the psp when it is slid closed. Maybe just make the whole thing a phone.

I like my PSP to have the UMD capability. I don't like putting everything digital :P

as for PSP2, I just hope they finally have a second analog stick :\ that was the DUMBEST thing they did, and we all know it's capable of having a second analog sticks :P the modders have proved it.

For one I would actually not mind just buying it and having it as a more portable mp3/video player than my current PSP. I've got a little ipod shuffle that's smaller for my thumb for exercising but it would be nice to have something with 16 gigs and games on it that I could put in my pocket. The PSP is too fucking big to bring around casually so the only time I use it is when I'm out of town for several days. If I'm home I'm using my PS3/Xbox360. Even though I have the cord to plug it into my projector I have to sit on the floor in front of it cause the cord is too fucking small. But the PSP Go I could just stick in my damn pocket easily and chill with.

But jesus christ I'm not going to buy a PSP I can't even use my UMDs with. I have several I've never even started yet. Plus that price is ridiculous. If it was $200 I could justify it as a 16 gig MP3/video player with internet browsing that could access my PS3 and all the video/music on it from across the country(and unlike the regular PSP, stick in my pocket comfortably). That's a good deal even without the games. I'm sure I'd end up sighing and trading in my UMDs and regular PSP and get the downloads once I had it.

I think if I played through all my UMDs, I'd just trade them in, trade in my PSP and only get new games. Though at the same time I do have a Tales game on UMD I had to import from England cause it never came out here, dunno how I'd get that.

I was planning to buy one this month, but the parents asked for Christmas ideas and I put this on the list for the proverbial shits and giggles. I'll wait and see what they do; I really doubt they'll buy it, but I can hold out until January to find out.

The PSP Go is a better option for me. I mostly use my PSP for watching videos and playing PS1 games. I own maybe a dozen UMDs, and out of those there are only a few I'd buy again as a digital download -- Jeanne d'Arc and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions being the two main ones. The rest I barely touch and can just play on the PSP 1000 if the mood strikes; it still works fine, and I plan to keep it.

I'm looking forward to making the switch. I like the Save State option they've added. I'm also happy about the ability to use a PS3 controller while playing the games on the television.

I bought God of War: Chains of Olympus and Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness off PSN yesterday. I could've gotten used copies off Amazon a lot cheaper -- Chains of Olympus is $5 -- but it'll get over it when I finally get around to loading them onto the shiny Go.

I got a PSP-3000 with a 32 gb card and don't plan on getting a go. If there were more games for digital download, psp and ps1 games, I would consider it. However $250 is just too much at the moment for a growing system. I know there are some people disappointed that you can't play Dissidia or other well know games on it yet. The size is a good thing but I usually take my psp with me in my hoodie or a back pack so size is not an issue. I am glad that sony is increasing the digital library though and there prices are close to retail. Prinny for 10 bucks is a great deal and I had to snatch it up.

Here is a link for a make shift 32 gb card thats affordable.

Edit: It would also help if we knew what games were actually coming to the PSN. I kind of don't want to go buy a umd of a game if its going to be digital right after I buy it.

Sony's policy is that any new games after Oct. 1 will be released simultaneously on UMD and as PSN download.

yeahhhhh, until they allow me to take the umd's I already have and download them to the psp go I don't think i will be picking this up, I have too many games and I refuse to repay to download them...if they are all even available

We've already had three returns...two being 'coz something didn't work. One wouldn't load the net and the other one I think was having bluetooth issues. Seeing as I have one psp game I'm fine with just waiting till they fix some stuff before buying it.

I was able to get a Go from Dell for ~$184 with a discount coupon and combined it with a bing cash back offer. I like it. It feels pretty good in the hand, the screen looks nice, and I like the enhanced portability of the system. All in all I am happy. I've never been one to sell games but I have bought B list titles used. I'm pretty convinced there will be some temporary sales on PSN just like there are on Steam.
