No.. it wasn't a typo... I do mean pubic.

Anyways... I know there's people out there that shave those hairs.

So yeah... An unknown person was talking to another person (names will be unknown for some reason.. no clue... but this isn't about me..>.> <.< at all... seriously) about shaving their pubs..

The 2nd person told the 1st person that they shouldn't shave them.

1st person asks, "Why?"

2nd person says, "Cause if they're growing their.. they were meant to grow there for a reason."

So yeah... what the hell is the reason for hair to grow there?

no hair = nothing to stop things rubbing together = sweatiness = chafing = pain and smelliness

hair = cushioning

plus, when it starts growing back for the first time, it will itch like holy hell

I thought it was a coat for when you go outside naked so your junk doesn't get cold you know.

pretty much. one partner should always have atleast some hair. And, if your partners your hand, dont shave.

Trim > Shave.

Hair is there for a reason, but shouldn't be left to go untamed.

Actually, having hair there will either cause more sweat, or trap the amount that would be there naturally, which would lead to bad smells. :P I think that's one of the decided 'reasons' why nature has it designed that way, because of hormones in sweat or something. I guess the hormones are supposed to attract a mate or something, but really, who is attracted to someone who smells like they haven't bathed in days? <.<

I guess it makes sense as insulation though, considering most areas of the body that grow hair in thicker amounts, tend to be more sensitive/thinner skin.

I still see no good reason to keep it though, if it's cold outside, just stay in. :P ...But it -is- itchy growing back after shaving...

For health porposes it's primary use it to stave off parasites (i.e. ticks) as well as assisting in keeping sensitive areas warm in the cold as well as keeping them protected from the sun and other harsh weather conditions. Testosterone aside, men also grow more hair than women due to lower core body temperature [thus have more difficulty keeping warm]

*edit* Sorry...it's only able to protect against -burrowing- parasites (i.e. ticks), but favors external parasites, such as fleas, lice, and some kinds of flies/mosquitoes...

That is the least appealing thing I have ever read.

gogogo pornstar trim

Do it the way you like it and let your partner have it the way he/she like it and if you want it a certain way on your partner then simply say that, me for example think atleast some kind of trim is nessesairy else it's just a turn off. However if I get to choose then both should be completly shaven for best feeling.

Body hair is for climate control, both insulation and cooling. When you sweat and it encounters hair, the sweat has a larger surface area, meaning more evaporation, meaning more cooling.

I'm a trimmer myself :)

It makes it look bigger.

Regarding what Gal said, personally I find they smell less when they're trimmed. My gonad hairs get pretty long & curly, and at the height of their career they can ward off advancing armies if I'm out sweating in the sun. A good trim with lucky #1 and I practically have to beat the ladies off of me with a stick.

Shaving bald = homo imo. No reason necessary, just one of those things that when people say they do it, you look at them with a raised eyebrow and wonder why you hang around them.

That's probably why plenty of gay people do that. :P But plenty of straight men, and women, do it too.
Besides, it feels a lot better shaved than anything else. Sensitive skin like that has much stronger feelings on it when bare than it does when it's covered up with hair.
That and it just looks better, at least on skinny people. Shows off the body more when smooth, instead of masking it with hair.
