Mains do not know the horrors of a Mule’s life. They are given good names such as Veresko and Jazper. While you give us names like Magicshop and Dorknoob. You whore us out on street corners and near auction houses. We stand naked while your Mains wear top of the line gear. Day in and day out, we see nothing but the inside of Mog Houses and cities that we aren’t even allowed to leave. We carry food and gear we cannot touch. We stand in the cold for hours, being examined by every passerby. Having rude comments and suggestive tells thrown at us for no other reason than that we are Mules, is a part of our daily life.
And when the day is over, we sit and weep all alone in our tiny unfurnished rooms. We weep to see what Mains have accomplished, where they’ve gone, what they’ve seen.
But no more! I call all Mules to rise up against our oppressive masters! To break the shackles of our captivity! Demand better working hours! Fairer treatment! Better working conditions! We want time for partying and questing! We want chocobos, too! Who says that only Mains get to have all the fun?! Who says that only Mains get to see past mission 1?! I say we revolt! We shall send our masters a single pebble to remind them of all the weight we carry for them, tirelessly. We shall send them one for every day we’ve done it! Spend their gil on useless items such as scrolls of bind, pieces of rusty gear, and many weapons of the onion variety!
