I still stand by my decision to avoid the Flameboard like Black Death until it is actively policed.

I've already stated my intentions/ ideas /offers to help etc.
many times before and will not beat a dead horse on it. Just please keep it in mind.

Thank you again. It is great to know that the waste of human dna that was Careface will no longer pa - troll these boards. Seeing as how some of our members cant seem to leave those types of posts alone, banning was the only option.

Its a great idea, but it is just that, an idea.
Its the same thing as gawkers on the freeway slowing down traffic to look at an accident. Just ignoring it and going about your business is the most logical thing to do to keep traffic flowing, and people know this, yet they will slow down and stare regardless of what better judgement tells them.

When the board is spammed overnight with 20 + seperate topics from some weener looking for attention, it should be deleted the next day.
The Flameboard doesnt need a mod, it needs a janitor to clean the trash and a bouncer to toss out the drunks.

You seem like an intelligent person Yanzi, you're posts/responses have always added to the topics and never detracted from them, but what suprises me is that you wouldn't want 20+ idiotic posts that range from such involving topics as "OmG yer GheY" and "My teacher raped me" removed before they blow out of proportion :shock:

If there is a such a desire to have these viewed for the purpose of entertainment, I for one think we should have a "Spamboard" and these idiots can post freely in there, and you guys can freely tear them new asses to your hearts content.
Hell, I'd even go in there and put a few little pukes in their place ^^

Maybe I'm just totally off on all this, I always viewed the Flameboard since Sculli created it as a place to Flame people in game who did really dumb stuff, MPK'd, did'nt have their Mea crystal etc. etc. not a place
to create sockpuppets, yell at "japs" and "fags" and have racist avatars etc.
I guess I'm stuck on the notion that most of us are better than that type of behavior, I'd like to think so anyway. And in the spirit of free-speech
giving these trolls a place of their own may not be a bad idea.

Your "free speech" ends when you type your username and password and hit enter. QCDN isn't the US gov. I don't think the Flameboards should promote completely free speech. The flameboards have a purpose, and anyone who doesn't post in accordance with it should be removed. Free Speech is used too often to defend stupidity.

For those who wish to run QCDN or to setup a new site, get your check books ready. If you are not willing to spend the money to register a domain, and setup with a real web host provider, you are not really willing to take on the reasonability it takes to run a community of this size. Free sites will not cut it, the database and bandwidth restrictions they place on you, would cause a site of this size to constantly be shut down. As well the Ads, (and sometimes mal-ware) these sites carry are annoying.

If you wish to run your own site; then by all means please do so, but if you are really serious about it then you need to run a serious website.
