Yeah, I know whats going to come of this thread, more people gonna be spewing bullshit. People gonna say "Well, why dont you just leave?" "We arent care-bears" or maybe "HAHAHAHAIFAI WTFZ YOU SUXORZ" I dunno. Go ahead lol.

But really... I stay here because this is a fairly good place to plan events, and share thoughts with people that think similarly. You get a few friends, but for every friend you get theres maybe 2 assholes waiting to quote your posts and act like a gorilla. But 90% of the time, this is how it is:

It just really annoys me. Why are people on these boards so damned annoying? Is it even possible for many users here to reach a decent level of maturity? Whats the point of everyone constantly spewing their bullshit around, does it boost your self-esteem? I will never really understand.

Yeah, Im totally prepared for the trash talking volcanic shit heads to pop their weasly little heads in this thread to make their snide remarks. In fact, Im actually fairly positive that I will get little to no relative comments. Just people coming in to bitch about me bitching. An endless cycle of bitching and people trying to act a tough guy.

Its not about being "care bears." Seriously. Its about being human. Dont you have any dignity?

What if for just one day, people were actually polite and provided decent feedback, and constructive criticism? Everything on QCDN seems like some sort of... Competition

You have the group of people who want some decency/maturity/constructive criticism in the forums and then you have those who just want to show that they are a tough guy, or funny/mean, derail etc etc.

Unfortunately, the internet allows you to post in anonymity simply because people are not communicating with others like they would with people in RL. You can be mean, you can be stupid, you can be a downright ass and still it's "ok" because its the internet.
No repercussions whatsoever in RL nor your gameplay really.

I have noticed that people derail threads because they want to or post one-liners because they think its funny (which at times they are). Nowadays, it's hard to find good threads without them.

I know that this thread won't go a few posts without someone already derailing it (i'm typing this the minute i saw the topic up btw).
People can do whatever they want to a certain degree and if they can, they will if they are up to it.

Best thing you can do is ignore those people that offend/berate you. All they want to do is get under your skin anyway. There are few good people in here that I like to read their posts, simply because its content is just suitable for me and that its more on track with the topic at hand.

Because I seem to always be surprised of how stupid someone can be. People will always take advantage of a situation in which they can be more than what they are. In real life they can't be a tough guy. On here, they go balls deep. It's something that more than likely won't change anytime soon too. If it's not someone bandwagoning because they're not man enough to stick to their convictions, it's someone bashing you for sticking to yours. All that I can take away from here is the few posts and conversations I get that are fun and enjoyable. I'll debate every now and then, but IRL I tend to make shit personal when I get annoyed so when I do it here I kinda attack the person and not the argument. That's why you'll see editted posts of mine, I kinda get mean. You know me, too. I'm more of the joking, fun loving guy. Much like my dear ol' friend John Candy up there. ...derp.

Edit: Artem - You forgot to put in "PC +1." Not only did you fail to contribute, but it wasn't even funny. You fail x 2
 
Man i was thinking about this last night when I was playing UT2004...same type scenarios there. Anybody who wins has to listen to at least one person talking shit that would land a person in jail overnight irl.

The biggest problem is a lot of people automatically get angry if your point of view differs from theirs. I'm completely nuts so naturally I don't get along with hardly anybody (the people you're talking about will say 'nobody').

My PC is kinda small and portable. Very flexible accessory to have. It can also fold up!

Edit: Yeah yeah hey wait no more derails. But, on another note... This isnt a bad derail. (yet) I dont see any spewing shit :p

Yea. I made a post a few months back called "Pricks flexing their E-Penis' " and it went on for like 7 pages. I mean, you just can't avoid the fact that people suck, so they're gonna take advantage of the tools at their disposal to make themselves feel like they are more than they actually are. It makes them feel like I always do, superior ^.~ lol Nah, seriously though. People are chocolate covered bastards with bastard filling. There is no nicer side of the tracks because the moment you try to cross them, they'll make it your point to hit you with a fuckin train.
