QCDN Ads in Risk too?

Since there had be report of ads can infect a person computer and account stolen in FFXIAH.com, and a activeX exploit on somepage...

Will ads from here can also infected us? just a thought

Even then, we're not some big target like FFXIAH or somepage. We get the ocassional bot, but that's about it.

If only you knew ;;. 99% of the moderation here is just deleting/approving the message queues of users with less than 10 posts.

We get lots of spam bots - the posts are just invisible to you and deleted. (assuming permissions are correct *cough Cmdr*)

You're kidding, right? There are people on this server who can't even spell the word "coming" or "basically" without completely butchering it, despite being corrected by the likes of Vilurum and myself.

Don't assume that anyone can read, especially when those folks are presented with the information in front of their faces.

We stay as up to date as possible with software releases, especially security updates. The ads are text or img based from google and present no risk. I am pretty sure your accounts are as safe as they can be while browsing QCDN.org.

Like Reeve said, I doubt anything is at risk if people are not clicking the ads.

There is an option in IE to disable ActiveX from running or the option to prompt before running ActiveX.
