Looks like one of the other users of the server QCDN is sitting on created a situation during which the server have to be restarted without that the LW staff was able to properly shut it down.
This resulted in the subsequent failure of the QCDN DNS server as well as the corruption of some tables.
As far as I can tell no content that has been posted has been lost. However, there may be some threads were there is a thread title, but no actual post associated with it. Those threads were created after the problem occured and while the thread table was not damaged and was thus able to insert the new thread title, the post table did not accept the insert and thus no post was attached.
I am in contact with LW staff chewing them out because this is exactly the sort of thing that they should be able to avoid, and if they are unable to do so, then I should receive a notification so that I can check the site for problems immediately.
