QCDN First Aid Camp?

Also a blast from the past is the QCDN First Aid Camp. See QCDN First Aid Camp as reference, please do not resurrect that thread though.

I am just going to repost the original text (in " "), as it is as acurate a description as I could give.

"I would like to propose that we (as in the message board population) hold a First Aid camp perhaps once a month. First Aid camp means setting up camp somewhere where travellers are in frequent need of assistance, and hand out heals and buffs to promote the message board" and perhaps just hang together (if that's as good a reason as any).

Discuss.
 
I basically know nothing about the game. Back in the day people were talking about the Dunes, but I would assume there are not other areas players in more need of assistance in.
 
Hmm.. I still think the dunes might be a good place to go. Maybe we can get'em young so they won't grow up to be entirely useless members of parties.
 
lol here have a heal and btw check out are site. Lol game soliciting there a new one. no but seriously it not a bad idea maybe do what eck does put it site is his bazaar boxs to so when you get the random check they could come to the site^^
 
I wouldn't think that it's going to be like "here is a heal and check out qcdn" as more "here is a heal" "thanks, what are you guys doing here" "qcdn first aid camp" etc etc.

The main goal is to just help some guys for a period of time. Perhaps have a time frame of a couple hours or so, during that time those who want to help out can stop by for as long as they like, even if it is just for a few minutes.

The secondary goals are to get some QCDNers together (do a group screenshot or whatnot), and promote the site to those who don't know it yet.
 
Sounds like fun that's for sure. If ya set up a date/time I'll tote my furry ass out to wherever you're holding it ^_^

We could use some new blood around here, lately it seems the same people rehashing the same old rivalries spewing the same old arguments. Well.. save that Yusuke nonsense... but he's worthless, so meh.
 
Sounds like fun as long as it doesn't turn into a mass powerleveling XD

Maybe gather and do this for the X-Box release. BLM75/WHM37 (Do you need it?)

My Bazaar comment would read, "Don't check me, check out Qcdn...bish"
 
Next thing you know they'll be asking us to get their SJ items... and then escorting them to jeuno for hoco quest, then escorting them to qufim, then helping them kill wights and banshees at night, then helping them get their kazham keys, then protectinng them from gobs in yuhtunga jungle. Do you see a trend forming? >.>

Nice idea for the first aid camp but remember when too say 'We can't help you!'

Sometimes its best to let the new people tough it out because they will only grow stronger and gain more skill rather than spoonfeeding them along. In my party, I'd rather have a person who died a million times in dunes to finally play his job right than a person who got plvled and has not a clue as to how their job is played.
 
We're not going to be there to powerlevel them... we're just gonna toss out a random cure or protect, then be on our way. If they ask us why we're there we tell them it's an event run through QCDN, so that they might check it out.

Honestly, you're reading too far into it if throwing out a random cure or protect/shell equates to spoonfeeding them levels and quests.
 
I'd love to help. The Dunes, Qufim, or even the Kazham zone at Yuhtunga Jungle might be good spots.
 
Or perhaps do random zone clearing assistance/first aid camp. Gar{tab} would be a prime place.
 
ok you're right about the spoon-feeding thing. It's just that they should get the real experience of the game :D Sometimes i chill in Yuhtunga at times and just kill the gobs that cause ppl trouble. I think Yuhtunga is probably the worst exp camp area in the game to pull from. But i wouldn't mind helping out. Is this going to be a whole new LS thing or just a group of ppl in different LSs just joining up and etc?
 
It doesn't sound like it'd be a random, "Let's pick these people, and help them do everything." I would take it for what the title says.. First Aid.

Finding a raise in the dunes can be bloody hard and when a lot of people leave their HP set in the main cities, you can be waiting for a long time. This would help out as at least someone is there to raise and you don't have someone paying the person shouting "Raises for Sale 1500 gil" in the dunes.

And clearing trains to the zone is super helpful. There were a couple of times in the dunes and jungle where some high level trained 4-5 gobs and it massacred almost everyone in the area. Another high level that could have cleared the mobs would have been nice to have.

It'd be nice to have this kind of help there as it just promotes a positive community.
 
I would like to do that with you guys. I can only help if someone is running from agro, but it would be cool to get togather with ya'll.
