Actually, checking the cables is 100-level to 400-level courses, and IT professionals even smack their own heads when they have exhausted their troubleshooting ideas and "oops, oh shit, I forgot to check my cables".

It's not talking down to you, I'm not insulting your intelligence, so quit finding things to pick fights about.
 
Like I said earlier, I brought it up to Reeve and we are having the issue looked into. No need to get into a pissing contest about who knows what or when or why donkeys have big balls.
