Quartermastering

Yea, he killed it, its his. If you cured him, or cast something on the mob, or hit it once, then you could bitch, but you didnt do anything, so you get nothing. Sounds fair to me really.

Everyone these days wants something for nothing, no one wants to work their ass off really. I need 1 million gil, is anyone going to hand it to me? I think not!

<_< falsey when you told me you were straped for cash I asked you how much you needed! you know I would hand you a couple million with no questions asked! but thats because we are good friends and understand eachother well 8)

PS I agree with what you said =p

That attitude is becoming more and more prevalent (sp?) and it irks me. On one hand it seems to be true but it is also a point that effects peoples reaction to me and others that do work their ass off. I'll join a group and the members /check me...

Them: Wow Kurgon!
Me: ???
Them: Your equipment is really nice.
Me: {Thank you}! ^_^
Them: How did you afford it?
Me: I stop leveling, farm, and do a little low level crafting.
Them: What do you farm and where? What do you craft?
Me: I don't want everyone to know where I farm I don't want to compete with others. (Then feeling the insinuation I'll usually mention something like) 4 sheep skins and a wind crystal for clump of sheep wool and with thf sub you can steal them as well.
Them: {Hmmm.}

It almost seems as though to get any respect you have to have mostly average gear with one or two decent things otherwise people assume you are a gilbuyer. It is frustrating really. Since people assume nobody "works thier ass off" I automatically get lumped into something that I don't agree with. I guess if nobody assumed that I buy gil then they would just assume that I had no life.

I wonder if the people I partied with at lvl 20 realize I was telling the truth when they see me when they are level 45-60 and I am still mid 30's.

As for the original flame... Nobody in the group deserved the drop except the person farming. Also I would really wonder as to why you would react the way you did. To go to the extent of quitting a group and blacklisting him is a really extreme reaction in my opinion.

He killed it. His drop. He offered to lot. No one replied. He quartermasters. Fair game.

Are you sure he was the only one that killed it? If the rest of the party was bitching about him quartermastering for that item, it sounds as if someone helped him.

From the original post, the only one bitching was the poster... So... yea...

yeah.. I agree with the majority here. His kill, his drops, he asked if people wanted to lot, no one answered, he QMs, its his fair and square. He was NICE enough to even ask.

I think you should remove him from your blist and apologize cause I think you overreacted.

All your loot are belong to me, since after all, I do have an account on the server, I feel entitled to all your gil and gear! So start sending the stuff over. *Creates a few hundred mules to keep the gear on*

Yoshis avatar is hilarious...

Anyway, I was on my way with a full party for BCNM in giddeus. Some of the people werent there yet, so the 4 of us who were there decided to camp hoo while we waited. (this was like 4 months ago, so old news) anyway, this guy Bladestriker in the pt manages to get Hoo claim. we all run over and start helping. He vokes it, disbands, and kills it. Needless to say we replaced him for bcnm, Blisted, and pretty much never saw him again.

That's actually debatable. I dunno how I would feel If I claimed a NM that I could kill alone easily, and my pt members just ran over to get part of the loot...>.>

<3 people who disbands if they get an NM/treasure chest. -.-
If someone in my party disbands to get like, Kuftal coffer then dies, I ain't touching them. If they wanna drop the party to get 12k gil when they could get the entrre party 8k, it's just selfish. =P

Though if I say, got VE while heading to a DRG AF spot and everyone went for it just so they'd get split-profit, I'd be powerful-pissed. =\ I think it's worse to force a profit split than to just let someone get their own stuff if they purely can, but in the case you gave, since you all camped, it was pretty wrong for him to disband..

Aaaaand I'm yammering~

That's different. You are all gunning for Hoo. Then the guy screws everyone. (and probably got a Deodorize) The original story didn't indicate they were team farming at all. And the guy was being MUCH more polite than needed.

Nvm that, I'm stupid  . I just read all 4 the four of you decided to camp it. in that case you all of you are entitled to the money >.>

A Red Mage once stole my carbuncle ruby when the party was waiting on another member to show up. I was the only one fighting. They were just standing at the zone. I was the only Treasure Hunter.

A white mage once threatened to never invite me again because I counter-lotted the drop of a measley crawler coccoon in the nest. Apparently white mages are entitled to lot on party drops while others pass. Their reasoning was because they were a weaver (I am a weaver) and that I don't need silk any more.

So due to my peers being complete bastards, as long as I'm in range, even remotely care about the item, and feel my TH touched it, I'm afraid I will counter-lot if someone in my party makes a lot. But keep in mind that it would either have to be a clothcrafting item, or something worth more than 15k. If it's anything that drops in your typical pt zone, I probably don't care about the item.

I've come into this more often where high demand jobs are almost blackmailing people into giving them stuff just so they stay in the party. Makes me all

I was also killing a random earth elemental in altepa, and 2 people started healing me when I went yellow (no danger). Invited me to an alliance that I didn't see. I accept, figuring I'll give them a chance at whatever drops once we're in a party.
Kill. One cluster drops. They dissolve.

Seriously people, it's an earth cluster. One of them.

You will always see people wigging out over the drop of a tree cutting. Everyone has been in parties with that kind of person--either the one who wigs out that people would even think of lotting on "their" drop, or the one who follows someone out to Rolanberry to leech when a pt is still forming in Jeuno. There are nincompoops, and they have a lot button. Arm yourselves.
