Question about FFXI billing

Okay, so.. I know that if you don't have money in your bank account that SE will suspend your pol account until you pay it.

My question is, can I leave it in this perpetual state of suspension and don't have to worry about being billed (even if I put money in my bank account)?

or do I have to pay the monthly fee just so I can cancel my FFXI account?

I'm pretty sure that after the monthly charge, they wont charge you again until you try to connect again and put in a valid credit card or debit card.

I'm buying a stick of RAM to play DAOC, which will pretty much drain my account and make me unable to pay for FFXI. I just wanted to make sure that SE wouldn't take money out of my account if I were to put more money in said account, regardless of re-entering account information or not.

I believe (i still haven't figured there f*up system yet) they charge you for each month you didn't pay when you try and reactivate your account IF you don't cancel your content id's.
They will keep harasing you for 3 months to pay it and telling you if you don't want to hurt your credit that you should pay it.

What i'd like to know is, how can you bill someone for a service that they aren't getting when there is no contract? How do you hurt someone's credit for a service you didn't provide? SE tries to pull some f*up S**t i swear.

BTW, I didn't bother renewing my xbox live subscription and i changed that to a maxed out credit card when it came time to bill me because i didn't want to get it after it expired. well i payed on my credit cards, guess what they decided to "rerun" the charge and thank me for continuing my service with there company for another year THAT I NEVER USE!!!

GL to ya, if you really that freaked about it pay the 12 bucks and actually cancel the ID's. It will give you more closer to sleep at night.
