I dont post here too often and i dont wanna get "owned" for saying this, but whats the point of rate downs/ups, why is there a NEED to have them on the boards?
 
To show how big our internet cock is and mine is rather big.
 
Why dont we just do away with it? I dont see any positives stemming from it

Not once did i cry because mods didn't do anything about it either. I mentioned it twice to mods, stating that RL info is being spewed in rate downs about me. Nothing was done back then, and personally I finally got sick of it. I could site millions of examples of shit that was done to me, but I don't. Yet the one fucking time I do it to someone, you all cry foul.

If this is the case where they punish me, I would expect EVERY single person that made a horrid rate down towards me to get equal punishment. (Including yourself.) Remember the one negative rate down you made towards me? See where this is going? Just because you rate a person down illogically ONE time, doesn't save you from the punishment category. I guarantee you, if they made any sort of punishment towards this ALOT of people would be guilty of it... and that is alot of work for a mod/admin.

It was one example of something zerayla did, I could list examples. But that is tiring and tedious, things I don't want to do.
 
So Jya gets away with breaking the rules and as usual the mod staff do sod all about it. Sometimes I bother why we have mods and admins.

Edit - So in this case I can just follow anyone I want around and harass them because they can just ignore me? Awesome

And sharpe, its been like this for a while now. Example, what happened to Hellstorm for OVER 4-6 months. I remember a point where Hellstorm actually had like 5 Green dots. Its coming to light because someone that a portion of QCDN doesn't like is doing it back to people, and towards the more vocal members... in which they are crying foul.

Lets see, you send me a ratedown for posting a good times thread, inside the ratedown is some quite nasty personal remarks about myself and then in a rather mild rebuttal I send you a rate down back suggesting you grow up. How are those treated equally?

Sorry Jyak but your world doesnt operate the same way as the real one I think.

Personally I think if the entire ratings system was disposed of, some people here would have no reason to come by and play plant the red dot of discontent mini game.

Sorry big fella, your logic fails. A "horrible ratedown" doesn't even begin to equate to calling someone a rough name like "fat bitch". Sure, if someone wished for your mother's death or something like that during a ratedown, that'd be grounds for expulsion from the boards.

But something like "fuck you you fucking fucktard" or any similar thing, which I'm sure is the norm of ratedowns you've been getting lately, isn't.

Effort is tiring and tedious? Stop trying to sound like me. This is one instance where you had best back your own shit up by providing incontrovertible proof that you are a victim here. Because for as rough a time I saw you go through from *everyone* during your shitstorm last year, and especially from Xean and Zerayla, what you did to Zerayla seems to have trumped it.

It has a few positives. When you see someone with 2 or 3 red dots, you know its best to not usually listen to them.
 
Wow, this thing is blowing up a little too much. I think some of you are giving us too little of credit. I didn't hear anybody complaining this much when I told Hellstrom that his rate up/downs weren't going to be modded.

I think everyone needs to take a step back and relax for a few.
 
This thread is full of hypocrisy -- as Jyakotsu has pointed out correctly.
However, this thread is full of hypocrisy on both sides as I have come to understand it.

Miros and I will have to hammer out how to handle the rep system and what constitutes offenses in using it.
