one thing i noticed is that almost all war/nin classes ive seen are holding 2 1H-weapons, a sword and axe. is there a reason for this, or is this just the coolest looking thing out there?
I equip a sword in my offhand, mainly, to skillup on it. Neither axe or greataxe has any AOE weaponskills. So, I'm trying to work my way up to Circle Blade. Also, Spirits Within would be a good weaponskill to have.
When I equip a sword, it will only be one that provides a good stat boost. Sword damage is just not good for a war.
If you dont need to skill up your best bet is to go with two axes in my opinion. Been doing it for a while and not only do you look completely badass, you do some sick damage. Nothing like double attack kicking in and getting 4 swats a round. Axe will do you more damage and therefore is prolly a better bet. But hey swords work too.
Now as far as coolness goes, no matter how "cool" you think you look, a ninja wielding a katana in one hand and a sword in the other will just whoop you everytime. They just drip "Im a badass ninja" from themselves like some ooze.
It's ok for ninjas to carry 1 katana and 1 sword until around level 30. But after that, please carry two katanas. Swords are C rated weapons for ninjas. You dont' want to be gimping yourself now, do you?
