Ok. Currently I have a 37 inch 1080i Westinghouse LCD HDTV. I bought back in late 2006 when 1080p TV's were super expensive.
It only has one HDMI and I'm looking to upgrade over that. I found a great deal at Best Buy for a Samsung 720p 50 inch Plasma with 4 HDMI's. Now I know it's preference, but I loved the Plasma color over the LCD color...i'm more of a fan of the natural color of the plasma plus deeper contrast levels. Anyway, thats not what I'm asking.
Is 1080p, which I know has a greater resolution, that much better then 720p? I do have a PS3 and Xbox 360 and I know blu-ray is 1080p. Will 720p still look fantastic? Also, is 720p better then 1080i since it's progressive?
Price difference...Samsung 720p is 999.99 and the 1080p version is 1699.99...the tv's have the exact same features and both to me looked great. What would you do?
