Yeah dude. I went to nationals twice for debate. And yes I was captain of my debate team. And yes it was for the most part a giant ego stroking exercise for most people who did it.

Its nice going into upper level development geography classes and they mention authors you cut evidence from your junior year of high school to write dependency development discourse cases. And it gets in the habit of reading accredited news sources while most the US goes around with their heads up their asses.

I was at Tiamat btw. Here is the deal, I'm not part of the shell anymore so whatever:

Integral gets claim with low numbers. Soon after Kaizen, Perse and TF are there with full alliances. Integral essentially stalls for about a half an hour and a GM is called. They slowly but surely move its hp down to about 93% after about an hour. One of our bards dia'd an elemental of theirs but it just started attacking the bard who just kept sleeping it (for anyone who was there he was above small ridge in the back right corner). Integral ended up wiping because a) we had alot of BSTs and alot of pets out and honestly to get a quick possible claim you have to have pets at the ready, they had to work in the lag but honestly so do we all the time (this mainly affected Johnnyb, it was giving him a hard time tanking) and b) undead and elementals got on a couple of their blms and it just went downhill from there. They CFH, wipe. Kaizen claims but Kisada gets knocked down quick I think before they could mobilize and we got the claim. Really messy fight, our messiest of any wyrm. After a double flail Perseverance claims at 9% and takes it down.

Anyway, this was the douche who was calling me a flock hater for asking if his name was misspelled. He also trashtalked me after claiming the Dusty Specs NM in Ghelsba...now that is serious bidness.

I have no issues with the flock, but if you're letting these dipshits transfer in to tell lies about your shell (claiming you have beaten Tiamat and vrtra), trashtalking Kaizen (saying you would have killed Vrtra had Kaizen not been wasting your time), then like I said earlier: You're only as strong a shell as your weakest member, which in this case is pretty weak. Just because someone has a 75 BST shouldn't grant them an immediate pass into a shell. Other shells have character checks, I encourage you all to do the same.

You're only as respected as your weakest link. With so many people in the ls claiming to be pivotal members...its really hard to keep a grasp on everyone's attitudes. Its a shame because I knew quite a few of the originals...and to be talked to like these two were talking to me was downright infuriating. I personally wish ill-will to the flock at any events these two are present at. Chances are they were at this VV, and if they were, lord knows I would have thought about stealing from them after the disrespect they showed me.

As much as I hate to say it, this is partially why I don't really give a crap that VV got stolen. I rarely put on the pearl anymore, mainly because I only recognize maybe 1 in 5 of the people in it...just about all of the original members have quit save a dozen or so, maybe less, and I have no way of knowing the demeanor nor attitudes of most of the members until it's too late and I hafto make moves to try to save Flock's reputation because of it, and I've had to do it several times more post-server migrations than I've ever had to do before then. It's utterly heartbreaking.

Honestly, it doesn't even feel like TheFlock anymore, whether looking at it from the inside or out. There's nothing else I can contribute to this thread beyond this somewhat derail, sorry.
