question on getting pics out of....

ok i took screen shots of myself while playing ffxi... how do u guys get the screenshot out of the game other than the email ffxi gave me to use. cuz i lost my password for the email.. so just wondering if there is any other way to get my screenshot out so i can learn how to make sigs with the screenshots.
thats the only way i can think of to getting a picture of my own character. so any help would be appreciated ^^
btw.. im not really familiar with photoshop.... or good with computer things... so in others words.. if u know how.. please explain it in a very easy to understand way lol. sorry >.< maybe i need something like computer for dummies book XD

You took these screenshots using the screenshot capture method that FF has built into it? If so, I have two important questions for you. Do you play FF on the PC or the PS2?

I can easily answer your question if it's on the PC. For PC just got to 'My Computer' -> 'Local Disk' (usually your C drive) -> 'Program Files' -> 'PlayOnline' -> 'SquareEnix' -> 'FINAL FANTASY XI' -> 'ScreenShot'.

That's where they should be if you use a PC.

I'm sorry, but if you use a PS2 I'm really just not familiar with how that works.

it's kinda hard to find where your pics are stored, do you use windower or the regular ingame screenshot?

For the regular, I'm not entirely sure where you find them at >,> but when you do find them just go to photobucket.com make an acct and chose upload, then a window will pop up and you go to the place where your pictures are stored and chose the picture you want to upload. You may want to rename the titles for the pictures; by default they're stored as XXXXdate.etc. so you know which you want to upload.

If you use windower then you go to the area your windower folder is stored, then go to screenshots and go from there.

hopefully someone can tell you where the location for the default screenshotter area is located sorry >,>

If you want to use the screenshots to take your char out and start making signatures, I would suggest looking into downloading either ModelViewer, or AltanaViewer. You can take character, gear, even effects and NPC's from these programs, and you dont have to try and worry about cutting the toons out of a background.
