Recently, I have been raising my fame in Bastok with different quests, repeting the one where you give Quadavs Helmets for exemple.
I know that fame unlocks some quests and reduces the price of goods at local stores, along with increasing the amount that merchants give you for your stuff. Being a crafter, the later really interests me.
I have gone from level 5 fame (Hello there Veresko! A lot of people....) to level 9 last night (Oh, it's you Veresko! I've known you since....)
I have not seen any changes in either the prices that I buy or sell goods, but I know that at level 5, I could buy a lot of stuff at or close to the minimum selling prices (according to ffxi.somepages.com).
Does anyone knows exactly how this works? Maybe I have the level wrong. Also, I red somewhere that you can continue raising your fame after level 9, without any effect on Falco's comment, but you still lower the prices at merchants and increase your selling prices. Has anyone noticed if that is true?
Thanks for your help, as usual!
