Have a question out there for the folks who have both PS2 and XBOX360. Is there a special process needed to be done for players who have PS2 and migrate to XBOX360? Can you play on both systems at different times with the same account? I know with PS2 and PC you can log on as guest but lose all macros and stuff. Can PS2 and XBOX360 be interchangeable and have full functionality with one account?

I'm not sure if it's the same, as I went pc-> 360, but let me tell you what I had to do as it will most likely be similar at worst.

First you need to register your PlayOnline ID with your XBOX Live tag. You can only have 1 PlayOnline ID tied to an XBOX Live account, and once it's there it's there for good. The good news is you can do it with just a Silver account, so it's free. After that everything works just like normal. You will, of course, have to remake all your macros and edit your filters/settings on the 360.

You can have all 3, and play them with the same account. I usualy play on PS2 when I'm home. How ever sometimes i play at my g/f's house on her laptop with no problems. Just install the game and when it ask you if you are a current POL user or new one, just select current. You will be asked your POL account # and you can also choose to save your password (I don;t recomend you do).

Now have fun playing on multiple machines.

Awesome, thank you. So really you just need to keep your macro sets updated on the separate machines. Even though the account is bound to an xbox live account it still functions fine with PC and PS2?

Yup. If you ever go to a different xbox you need to take your live account with you. Also should be noted that even logging on as a "guest" on the 360 requires a live account. I generally prefer to play on my PC, but my girlfriend and I switch depending on who wants to sit on the couch.

The worst part is redoing all your macro's. From ps2 to xbox you cant just transfer them. I downloaded the xbox 360 but continue to play on my ps2 because the text on x-box is very small and I didn't want to redo 200 macro's.

You can alter the text box size using the 360 resolution controls.

Worst thing about the 360 version was trying to learn to use the controller and the fact that I can't get comfortable using a keyboard while sitting on my recliner or couch. :D So it will be PC for me or nothing at all.

I have FFXI on my laptop, desktop, PS2 and XBox 360. You can interchange between them all, but make new macro's each time. In the end, it's all the frickin same. It's just my 360 plays in high def ^_^ I like it. Wireless controller / Wireless Keyboard. I just lay in bed and play. :B

I was going to ask this same question. This is good news :) .

Ditto, I can finally pass out while playing. Much like how Scwall used to always pass out in the Temple.

Just a warning about linking your handle to the 360, I'm not sure if you can switch handles afterwards. Also, I'm nearly positive that guest users cannot login.

Hey Kabrina, you can adjust the size of the resolution through XBOX360 Dashboard. Select System > Display(?I think) > 480P 600P etc etc. The largest number will give you a big screen with tiny letters. The smallest number will give you a smaller screen with bigger letters.

Nah', don't worry about the linking handle thing Dowzer. You can have multiples set up there, just log into another account handle with your 360. My little brother, when he comes over my house, logs in on my 360 and so does my buddy jon and older brother. They each have their own handle and XBox Live login's. So, you can set up for log in's and handles, but they can't be like, all log in with my Kuzoku handle since that's registered to my other handle. Of course, with XBox Live you can get silver membership for free.

Like the others have said, I <3 Xbox because of the high definition and bein comfy in my bed
Though sometimes I prefer the computer, just depends on what mood I'm in.

I have FFXI on my pc laptop ps2 and 360 and can log in to my account on any of the systems. I had to link my 360 game tag to my POL ID for it work. But for macros if your macros are on the ps2 there is a way to upload them to your POL account at SE and then log in to the 360 and download them to your 360. This does not work on PC version because we can just move the macro files by hand /sign. Just look up saving macros or uploading macro's I did it like 2 years ago so I do not remember the command.

Actually, PC macros can be uploaded & stored on server. I hadn't realised you could for XBox ones...
