It would end for sure the CC fighting that is the reigning king of LS dispute.

People have to be more patient in order to get things. But at the same time they have always been. As an example: only Fafnir gives the Ridill. But, if the campers were all united the acquire rate for sword would go up. To the deserving jobs that is.

The people that find themselves doing nothing, could create other Mission Groups to get other things. Camping 2~3 Nms at the same time for example.

merging shells whould not work; here is why. You would get the restless people effect because A) it take to long for 1 person to get armor B) there would be alot of people not doing anything while fighting (people dont like to do nothing). Maybe allieing shell during big battle or during sea but for sky and smaller hnms merging shells would not work

Your first assumption is wrong. You *think* it takes longer for one person to get their gear, but you aren't looking at it logically. X linkshells compete for the NM that drops the gear. In X linkshells, there's Y people that want that item. Combine all the linkshells, there's still Y people who still want that item. This is where combining will HELP make things at least noticeable.

Let's say there's a set lotting order based on attendance or what have you. With everyone under one list, you can more readily see how long you hafta wait to get your item, and work to reduce that time by showing up to more events. Also, with a united NA shell, you would get infinitely more claims on HNMs over the competing shells because of sheer numbers. The odds are if you have 300 people in Behemoth's spawn area vs maybe 30-60 others, you are going to get the claim, thus potentially moving the list down for drops needed.

The only issue I see with endgame shells uniting is the size. I know I'd never want to be in a linkshell with 200-500 people online at once. That makes for some serious chat spam.

Linkshells actually can't hold much more than about 70 people wearing their pearls at the same time.

You guys are looking at it too logically.

Now logic is nice and all, but not everything is logical.

Basicaly it wouldn't work because alot people in various different linkshells hate eachother. That is one of the reasons they are not in X persons linkshell, because they dislike them. Example? What was the name of that guy who "stole" (lets not revive the topic) a scorpian harness or some similar high end item (maybe a vermy?) from OH. Now i know they were pissed (the 50+ pages indicated as much). Now the dust has settled the guy is in a new ls and OH he moved on.

And you want OH to join a ls that has that guy in it? or that guy to join a ls with OH in it. Or ANY ls to join up with other ls's they dislike/holds members they hate in it?

While your predictions on camping and item drops increasing and such may be correct you appear to be forgetting we are human, and as humans we tend to hold a grudge.

Its an idea as wonderfull as a house of cards. beautiful to behold, a pain in the ass to build and destroyed with a single breath. Idealistic in its conception but all the work to not only build but to enforce will be impossible. And thats not counting the japanese and we pretty much know how they feel about us. Rinoah is correct. Your wanting to change the hearts of men for the sake of fairness in a videogame... iwish you luck with that

there is a cap, if there more then the cap everyone over the cap would not be able to equip a pearl (happen couple time back when I was in Cowboys from Hell.)

no by doing this you just now have 100 people doing nothing, plus there time factor "unless you had several peak hours like a group that was in jp time group in eu time and group in NA play time" you still going to be able to farm sky in you desinated farm time but now you just have 30 or 40 people standing around. Getting sky pops is not a problem, The problem come the lack of how do say gaming edicate, honor, morales between shells. So in the long run person y will have to wait much longer for a item because there is only so much you can in a day. King pop you have 300 people there all you going to have is 1 gigantic lag fest(which there already is down there) It be like doing a besige but worst because a much smaller area. I actally prefer smaller group because it much easyer to get from point A to B and when you get to B you have less chance of getting argo from mobs in area.(uli is a prime example.) Though it would be nice to have some type of diplimatic contacts with other shells, something to smooth the tensions between shells.

not necessarily... I mean, the JPA (Japanese Alliance) had at least 200 members for a while... but rarely had more than 20-30 at a camp. This is b/c they would only send those who were next to obtain an item + the jobs necessary to do the fight. Obviously this would not work particularly well with a point based system sense you would be cock blocking people for points... But there are ways to get around that... all you would need to do is give points to everyone who was available to go, but you told not to.

As for Sky, and a huge LS being ridiculous for it... Well, if you do it so you farm, and than pop on the weekend, yeah it would be... but on some servers there are groups that pop kirin 2-4 times daily... And it really wouldn't be that stressful of a thing to do, b/c all you would do is send a group up for a few hours and than have another one go and relieve them and continue.

My point is... Micromanaging a huge group is entirely possible... That doesn't mean it's something that we have to want to do though :p b/c imo it would be a huge pain in the ass.

Whats the cap number then i never heard of a ls having a cap limit whats online lol be like 200ish or something?

You guys really think sky is that hard? Maybe instead of running into the same LSs every single day, use that little brain up there and schedule different times?

And a big ass NA alliance at kings isn't going to make ridill, A. body, W. body, E. Body, etc etc drop any more. The drop rates are still going to be there. Fact is, that most of the people that *can* kill fafhogg etc, are camping them. The ones that can't, don't. And part of the greatness of the LS system we have now is the intimacy of them. I don't want a LS of 200+ people, that would be retarded.

If you wan't to get sky gear so badly, start making your farming runs and killing times more efficient. If you want kings gear so badly, then get a ToD, find ppl that want to as well, and fucking do it. All this sounds like is a bunch of people that can't get it done trying to find ways to do so without actually bettering themselves.

who was this directed to? Sky can be done by retarded kids that are blindfold no one said it was not easy, in fact everyone was saying that it is easy. There is not a mob in this game that appose a problem if you know what you doing. pretty much you said exactly what i said execpt you always come off hostile lol.

nasya that why i said unless you have a eu group, a jp group, and a na group (like that ever going to happen). I guess you could send one group on monday wed fridays and group 2 on tue thur and sat, but that would be a pain and would be alot easyer if you split that into 2 ls and had some sort of alliance for if you need people can grab some from other shell.

forget uniting to one shell. IMO yeah that is extreamly out of the question.

I dont think it should be one person making all this up, ruff draft whatever. I believe that a LS should be made FOR A MEETING AREA. A place where the leaders go once a month, once a week, whatever and they discuss whats going and if people are following a SET RULE OF CONDUCT BETWEEN THE SHELLS IN THE ALLIENCE.

This isn't to make us all become the bestist of friends, its to lower the drama rating a little and make things a little more fair for everyone. Your LS is in the allience or its not. if your not then the CONDUCT DOESN'T APPLY TO YOUR SHELL AND THE ALLIENCE IS ABLE TO TREAT YOU HOWEVER THEY WANT! Look what you guys do to gill sellers. if a ls doesn't want to join and follow these simple rules that ALL THE LEADERS agreed on for treating each other, then your treated as an outcast. If your a member of a shell that doesn't want to participate in the agreement to copperate with each other then you must leave and join one that is in the group (its your leader being the ass).

This isn't going to happen tonight, tomorrow, next week! In fact nothing is going to happen untill the leaders get together on there own (personal hatred or not you need to find a balence) and discuss a certain way/conduct to treat each other in the shell. Then after you've decided that, then you decided on those that dont follow rules. I think treating a whole ls like a lot of you treat gill sellers is a pretty good punishment. You can do whatever to them because they CHOOSE to not copperate in the first place. They are making the game harder on you LITERALLY! because they would rather mpk you or take your NM after one person dies and it comes unclaimed for even a millisecond.

Its really only up to the leaders, not the members, as to how hard they care to make endgame a little less dramatic with the others they play this game with. To make the game a little more fun for their members.

Most LS"s can kill Fafnir. Not as hard as people seem to make it out.Only thing is people rarely get a shot at it so umm there is little to no chance of practice.Unfortunately it seems enix couldn't find a better time sink than mobs that pop ever 24 hrs n drop ubers stuff at a rare rate =/.The whole idea of "Skill requirement for better gear" is what Enix totally failed at.Ballista is another example... you get tp you ws! or maybe manage shadows. But classes are obviously un-equal.Just an example.

I dunno, I think most LS on this server are capable of killing fafnir... the problem is getting enough members out there, with a mix of the right jobs. Most LS's dont have enough members on ant certian times.
