Quetzalcoatl web page?

Well, I'll help in whatever way I can (bar loaning out money for a web-server/hosting >.>;;). I can make graphics, have an adequate knowlege of HTML, a basic grasp on Flash (use to do it for a year, but I drifted off...), Very good (In my opinion) at Photoshop, Macromedia Fireworks and the likes...

Just PM me if you need anything and I'll try and help out (Makin' headers, general images and such.)

If not, good luck with the site and can't wait to see the finished product :)

Yea blabj is awesome when it comes to graphics etc :wink: He made a whole load of sigs including mine.

I agree that a website for quetz would be cool but i'm concerned at what sort of content you could put in it. I mean we got allakazham and somepage etc for FFXI stuff in general. And as far as quetz only stuff goes, qcdn seems to do justice.

Maybe hosting quetz players photos, videos etc and player profiles would be nice. But overall i think the site would lack content to make it worthwhile cause there be little to look at
 
I think that a hosting company would be cool, but It would be hell to support, for example 25~ Maat videos will be a Gig or more of infomation to host, and unless you're your own host, it will cost alot of money for that much storage and, don't forget the biggest killer... BANDWIDTH ><;;

But hell, if you can get the whole picture and file-host thing running that will be awesome, but how will you know it will be people from Quetzal and not just someone from another server trying to skive some free webspace.

I think that hosting LS' forums would be the best, and wont be *too* bandwidth heavy (compared to videos and the like it's practically nothing.). And having a directory on the site for LS' forums and such, so people know other LS' forums and can get the link easier.

Thats just a few ideas that I came up with during the process of writing this post. Some good, some not so good, but it's an idea :D

well thanks for the ideas.. and i'll be contacting ppl today and puttin them to work! lol.. help is always appreciated..

also.. i doubt the website will get as much traffic as this forum, it'd just be a stopping over point.. and a good place to have just daily quetzalcoatl news.. and articles and stuff.. if the ideas i have for this site actually work, it'll have more than just me working on it, and hopefully our combined efforts to get this page up and running would make it successful..

.. as far as other ppl comming to post stuff for free web space here.. that can be monitored.. though im not sure about video hosting because that would take up quite a bit of space.. maybe just keep it to personal pictures, fan art, screen shots, etc..

and "the site would lack content to make it worthwhile".. well.. thats what all of you ppl here on QCDN are for lol.. trust me some of your posts on here are worth seeing in themselves.. without knowing the ppl.. ..you guys are all nuts.. sometimes it seems like im teh only sane one around here..
