Got a party in qufim, I'm thinking great.

Party Setup
1. NIN/War
2.NIN/WAR
3.THF/WAR
4. RDM/WHM
5. THF/WAR
6. SMN/WHM


Im thinking a bit unusual but another NIN sweet. Turns out the NIN never even heard of norg. Don't ask me how, and same with her thf friend. Well this begs the question maybe they re new.

The NINs highest job was 50 BLM, and the Thf's was a 70+ WHM.

Neither of them have ever heard of norg. Then the NIN proceeded to say that she didnt know Utsusemi was required and didn't have it.

Their names were Chione and Angellita. Their LS was UnknownSoldiers. Chione was the Ninja.

Sorry for the sloppyness but I'm angry.

Are you absolutely sure they weren't just taking a joke to an extreme level? I have difficulty believing that they could have been serious. I'd say it almost has to be a joke.
 
I also think that they were bought accounts. Just think of all the things you would miss if you never went to Norg. Leviathan, Ninja, Samurai, Zilart Missions... I don't know what else.

The point is, one of their jobs WAS ninja. They couldn't even exist without having set food in Norg. o_O

It's more likely a joke, but barring that, yeah ... they didn't earn their boots.
 
Well they both had aketons, and the THF had crafting glasses. So ....

Exactly my point, the person that owned the account(s) had unlocked it for them.

I kind of like Norg too, it's just way out of the way. If it was a joke, it was a bad joke, because jokes are supposed to make me /laugh, not :nono: . ;-;
 
Why would you joke about not having utsusemi and then..actually not have it.
 
If it was a joke I can understand it. Last night I was in a party as a WAR/NIN. Well the THF was going to SATA onto me so the other WAR/NIN was first voke. I'm thinking cool. I put up shadows and get ready. THF gets agro on the pull so I start attacking as the bats come in, other WAR starts to attack too and then vokes. Well he gets hit, and hit again, and hit again. I'm thinking well he probably just didn't have time to get shadows up. So THF SATAs on to me and I start to tank. my 6 shadows are gone I get hit and the other war gets hit again. Now the WHM is starting to pull hate because they have to cure everyone and the WAR and the WHM die, HP and disband. Well that killed the party and al little while later I /tell the other WAR and ask him if even had Utsusemi. Well he didn't and his excuse for being a WAR/NIN instead of a WAR/MNK was that his MNK is only 13. In that situation I would rather have a 31 WAR/ 13 MNK than a WAR/NIN without uts.

Point is Uts. isn't cheap and I don't think you really need it until about level 37 as a NIN. Atleast that is when I plan to actually tank as a NIN. Until that time I refuse to do it. NINs are pussies that can't take hits and I'd rather sub RNG and use a Darts/shurikens and guns. That seems like much more fun.

The cost is irrelevant, you can quest it and get it for free, so there's really no excuse for not having it.
 
Actually low level tanking is a hell of a lot easier than you make it out to be. Adding Leaping/Bounding boots and Emperor/Empress hairpins actually are well worth the cost. At that level the +6 AGI alone is about 15-20% increase over your current AGI not to mention the +10 evasion the hairpin gives and the +6 DEX for more accuracy. Rings add +4 if you go for the AGI rings and that's another 10-15%. Those are huge boosts considering the effect becomes smaller and smaller as levels progress. There were times when I evaded so often that I was able to cast, wait until Utsusemi recast was back and still had shadows so don't knock low level NIN tanks. 0 damage >>>> + damage any day.

Good luck getting parties where you playing nin damage dealer. There are so many other people that say the exact same thing, but in the end, EVERYONE has to play tank as nin straight up to 37. Playing as a damage dealer just isn't going to happen.

Well i am party of UnknownSoldiers and i know Chione and Angellita and from what you are saying that doesn't sound like them. I know for a fact that they know where Norg is. I would definitely like to see some screenshots proving this because right now im calling your Bullshit

Yet more evidence for the "it was a joke" theory. Of course, I can also see how it could equally imply that the accounts were sold.

I very much doubt that Torque is lying in any way, especially as there doesn't seem to be much reason to do so. I'd imagine he was genuinely told everything he repeated here ... more or less.

There certainly isn't anything yet that warrants calling it "bulls***." As it is all so ridiculous, it really speaks strongly to me of these two were messing with Torque's head. They probably wouldn't have taken it so far if he didn't fall for it hook, line, and sinker. A Qufim party is nothing, and there are people that would gladly pretend not to have Utsusemi, even sacrificing experience to do so, for the sake of an elaborate joke that was working beautifully.

I still maintain that it's just too ridiculous to be believed. Even someone who purchased an account would have a bit more savvy than this. Generally, I think that anyone who bothers buying an account in the first place would already know enough about the game to realize that they like it.
 
Well i play on the ps2 so i figured id atleast try and take some shots. So I took 2 they re kinda crappy but eh here they are unrelated. Ill upload them tomorrow if you really wanna see?
 
Winkle your joke theory makes alot of sense except for the fact that after we told them of the quest in norg they disbanded, to go to giddeus and farm necklaces.
