I sold my accnt a while back (2-3~ years ago)

but considering coming back to ffxi casually for some fun on the side.

comments? is the game just now full of people with 3+ 75's around simply cause theyve made good friends and want to hang out...or is the community still growing and thriving?

How will the game take me coming completely fresh and new in your opinions?

I read the economy isnt as shitty anymore, are the fish bots till in full force?rofl

A long while back, i was making a BST until SE nerfed them and if i remember correctly did something where you couldnt take pets out of their area or soemthing...fucked over bsts greatly, i cant quite remember, is BST still kind of fucked over...or would my making one still be fun?

sorry its been a long time so i dont remember much, id like to make a bst to have the freedom to solo and log on whenever, w/o having to xp pt for hrs, dont have the time anymore.

BST is not that messed up. You just can't MPK people (up to a point) anymore. Your pets depop if you leave them outside their spawn radius.

Honestly... how often you wanna do a post like this a year? This is what... the third thread of you this year asking how the game is doing and what its like now. Read forums, try it again for a month...

a thread here and there isnt killing anyone is it? i very rarely visit these forums, so honestly i dont see how you think that sort of response is helping me out here.

That was blown way out of proportion and only affected places to level that were pretty shitty to begin with.

yes and i read that thread. I already know what new jobs there are etc...its a pretty simply question to ask whether the game is basically veterans currently, or are people still actually doing things such as genkai quests etc.


this game was potentially a bitch at times even when it was new when no one needed a particular quest etc...i only imagine it being 100x worse if there is no influx of new players. Thats my general question here..
 
Hmm, in my view, if you get into a half decent social LS, then if you need help with X quest, with a bit of nice asking and you could get a run going. People still do CoP/Missions together. AF NMs on the otherhand can be more or less soloed/duoed/trioed.

I don't see anyone complaining about it and most people in the game are generally kind, in a way, to help, kinda.

As it stands, G1/G2 can be done with 1 or 2 higher level help, G3 is soloed (with a bit of skill), G4 is soloed, G5 is soloed.

I was messing around in the dunes today and saw quite a few level sync parties, so I suppose it's quite refreshing at the moment.
 
Ive seen a slew of new people playing the game as of late too. The dunes are actually PACKED for once (something I havent seen since i started playing LOL).

yeah i dno i mean there are faster jobs to 75, but BST seems like a good one for me now...i already did the whole brd thing and leveling nin was fun, but ive had all the gear and sea etc, so i just am looking for some laid back fun.

do a lot of bsts duo trio or are there still BST lss etc?

how do bsts fit in with all the new content, did the new expansions and stuff treat bst well?

i NEVER knew anything about bsts even when i played for those 2 years or w/e, they always were sort of mystical people to me rofl, never knew any of em.

Jugner and Pashhow campaign areas are pretty nice for Beastmasters. Pashhow especially. Not so much Meriphataud unless you want to take a decently sized walk for charmable pets, same with Rolanberry and Sauromugue, not so much Batallia, but it's still a short hike away from the fort to find something worth using for the battles.

I really loved Pashhow for campaigning on Beastmaster, right by the fort theres a couple of Lou Carcolh (Slugs) that check Decent Challenge at 75. Slugs have pretty great special attacks too Not to mention that they absorb Water damage, which is doubly good due to Quadav mages primarily casting Water(ga) spells. Two of their attacks are conical water damage, both with debuffs. One does Bio and Max HP Down, the other does Weight and Encumberance(pointless against mobs.) The Third is AoE and does Attack Down and Defense Down.

Oh yes I do. I am know for stalking people on this forum.. you can ask that girl... I forgot her name... the one who got famous for her picture and then starting stupid flames. Fear me :ph34r:
