if you delet something that is 233MB do you get that memory back? I have about 20ish movies all 200+Mb and I need out them all in CDs and I deleted them all to make room for more, do i get that memory back?

If you cleared your Recycle Bin then I think they're gone for good. >.o

Yeah if you do that you get your memory back as empty space. But they aren't gone for good, there are ways you can still revive the files.
In the mean time, if recycle bin is clearned the space that the movies took will be available to other 'things'.
If you erase so much memory at a time is it always nice to run a disc defragment to condense the "leftover" files.
