So I was thinking today, I do some funny stuff sometimes. I thought Id list some out for you.

When I play White Mage or Bard, I pray people get poisoned cause I love showing off that I actually notice poison and the melee dont have a chance to say {poisona}.

I always end up behind the mob. Stemmed from my days as a thief but every job I have leveled since I always end up slamming it in the ass.

I enjoy drawing hate as a bard. I know it does not bode well for the party when I do, but something about a happy, go-lucky guy singing some songs and pissing a monster off makes me smile.

Im cheap as shit and have no right to be. I am currently running around with about 887,000 (just picked up Mary's Horn to drop me below 1 mil :(), yet I don't like to spend an extra 5k for 1 or 2 extra Mp which I would really like to have.

Lastly, I am an assault white mage. I did my DAMNDEST to level Divine skill with mage. I was so happy I got powerleveled as I managed to skyrocket to 28 (that is one hard skill to level btw). I just call myself an assault white mage but I do notice I probably spend a little too much time debuffing and too little time spamming cure.

Thats a small portion of me. Thought some of em were kinda funny. How about you?

i dont like to level ^^;;;

people tend to get pissed as you might put it because i like to screw around and have fun, </poke> fun at other people and make some jokes about others, like "since when can dead people not change their camera angle"

i also tend to whine about money ( :x faedryth, ; ; :cry:) because i alsways tend to never have more than 10k at any given time,

I'm a quirky kind of guy!

-I want a skillchain in every party I'm in... first thing I say after joining is:

(In what order shall we do our weapon skills?) Right after (Hello!)
I end up putting together the SC most of the time anyway, not really giving anyone else a chance to make one, lol... (I shoulda been a SAM)

-I want, no NEED a /tell before joining ANY party... lol

-I like to get to know the people I'm partying with and create friendly banter (or try to) among the people playing... you know, when I learn I can relax in the group I'm in and just sit back and do my job and not worry about theirs. I bet some of the higher rank players think I might be trying to nuzzle up to them for free stuff, but this isn't the case. Anything you have, I can GET, buddy! ^^

-I always eat food... even if I'm going to be in a group for 5 min or something, I'll down another piece of food... My taru should be about 500 lbs by now, my god how much pie and kabobs he's eaten, not to mention Grilled Hare throughout my first few months... Bloated taru -(' . ')-
 
Tarus are all chubby! Look at the way they waddle around! My theory is that they eat their weight in food each day, only to burn off as much as they can /panic'ing...

Anyway, quirks....
  • Like Mithy, I don't like to level. I stayed at 29/30 (kept de-lvling from 30) for like 3 months or so.
  • I'm a total quest/mission wh0re (over 120 unique quests done! hero fame in Windurst and Jeuno!).
  • I love to help people, especially with missions. I can't count the number of people I've helped with missions anymore... my most visited place in the Maze of Shakhrami is the Fossil Rock from Windy mission 2-1, as is the Mahogany Door in the Horutoto Ruins (for the same mission). I've actually met a lot of people this way.
  • I tend to know more about other people's jobs than they do, even without having played them before.

  • Even when higher-level/higher-ranked people are helping me with a mission, they ask me for directions or what we're supposed to do next. My reputation as a mission wh0re precedes me.

  • Many people who have never met me, but have talked to me in-game, find it hard to believe that my highest job is level 32. They assume I'm in like at least the 50s.

  • Due to my flirtatious manner, most people are surprised to find out I'm engaged. XD As my fiancé always says: "Kyr is teh h0rn."
I'm sure there are more, but I'm too lazy to think of them right now.

o, when people send me items, i use my deliv box as storage, so i have to make about 8 trips from mog house to AH to get anything... damn goblin wont let me do gobbiebag 2, heck, id do all 5 right now on spot if that damned goblin would only let me
 
What comes to mind for is: I don't have the patience for farming or camping NMs. BUT, I don't mind fishing for hours on end. My poor WAR has been sitting neglected at 40 for dog knows how long cause I've been fishing, only dusting it off once in a while to help people with their subjob items, etc. In fact, the only times I haven't been fishing lately have been when I have been leveling other jobs. I've been leveling WHM and BLM--WHM so I can have Sneak/Invis for, you guessed it, fishing, and BLM for Warp because I spend all my CP on candy and Instant Warp scrolls to get me back home from...fishing. So I raise money by fishing, which I then promptly spend on lvling jobs for fishing, or crafting for fishing (fixing rods, making bait, etc), and so on.

PS-I have blackmail pictures of Synical fishing too. :twisted:
 
Might be odd from a guy playing a mithra, but...

I need her to wear pants. That is unless there is some godly bonus on the piece of equipment. I just don't like seeing her in metallic underpants aka subligars.
 
As a Blm, I am a Magic Burst fiend! I LOVE it. Like someone else said, first thing I do when joining party is ask about the skillchain. Then I ask to see their macros. I get annoyed when ppl 40+ dont have macros for them or flat out right refuse to participate in a skillchain.

This is kind of a little off topic, but everyone please have your WS in a macro, and please use a <call>. I know melees can see the WS coming, but as a Blm/Whm I can get busy watching HP for backup healing, watching the Whm's MP level, watching to see what other mages are casting, watching for other mob pop's that can link so I can <sleep> them or <escape> us, etc. I just just makes life easier if you "announce" your weapon skill and use a <call> as well as regular TP reporting. Thanks for listening to me grumble. LOL :D
 
just got a few of my own:


I cant stop farming! - Bah!?! Everytime I see a mab I think about what are its drops and if I could make money off it.

Once a tank always a tank - When I used my warrior I was always sought apon to tank for the party if we didnt have a pld so I decked my warrior out with nice Def + and Vit + stuff. Well after I switched to thf I still have the habbit of tanking so if our tank looks to be in rough shape I voke and go nutz.

swear replacement - I try not to swear doe I say fuggen or blargh or something along the lines.

Mr.Helpful - Something about that lil red ? that just gets to me. As soon as I see a new player asking questions like "Where do I fight stuff?" or just asking for help I am there teaching him the basics and I normally stick around until he or she has gathered there first stack of crystals.
 
For some reason I go "home" to Sandy every night. I know that I can log anywhere, and that I can rent a room in other cities....... but I just don't feel right unless I'm home in Sandy. Sucks, cause I end up adding another 15+ min to my night.

But hey....... That's what a quirk is.
 
I have major issues curing a party if there isn't 6 members @_@
I don't know why but I just can't get it through my tiny taru skull to stop hitting "ctrl 6"

I like to hit things....things that I shouldn't hit - like marlboro's at lvl 12. if it's big I have a mighty need to give it a whack even if it's like 8 gazillion levels higher than I am.

I'm self sacrificing in a party - even if I am main healer I'll usually be the first to grab aggro and run.

I like to dance!!!! "Sabia shakes her tiny Taru tush!" :shock:
 
I have two fetish's:

Macro Fetish - My macros can never be "<Cure> II on <t>" they always have to be something like "Time to make the Paladin's head go 'splody! <Convert>!" and they're always changing. I can't stop! LOL. Luckily I've gotten compliments on my macros, so they aren't too annoying >>

Armor Fetish - I don't sell armor. EVER. I have like 2 mules that just hold Armor for me because I refuse to sell it. And if people give away armor, I always ask for it, even if I don't need it! I think subconsciously my goal is to have every peice of armor in the game. Cuz you never know when you might need it!

in parties... my quirk is.... I'm suicidal.

Seriously, I'll do things I know gets me agro just to save the pt. They HATE when I do it (hence where the Convert macro came from, PLDs always freak out with me around >>). I honestly don't care if I die because I think dying is funny. This is either a bad thing or a good thing... depending on who you talk too.
