I'm quitting!

This game has had a negative effect on everything in my RL, I guess I got addicted, so today I decided to just get on and drop everything. I appreciate everything everyone has done for me. I will really miss everyone from my LS or that I made friends with, especially the people I knew for a long time.

2 years I think its been since you joined my linkshell. Such a great experience to have you even though you do some of the stupidist things ever. Gonna miss you a ton! I dont want you to go, but I know you need to see some things more clear. Like I said before and always have told you, Trust your instincts and go with the flow. I find it works wonders after a while if you know you -can't- go back to the game without starting over.

I'm quitting!

This game has had a negative effect on everything in my RL, I guess I got addicted, so today I decided to just get on and drop everything.

I felt the same way, the reason I droped all my items was to prevent me from being able to go back because I lost contact with all my real life friends and I hardly ever spoke to my family. It has been five months since I quit now and I still don't regret it a second, i've got plenty of new friends and school have gotten hell of alot easier, FFXI is not a bad game, it's just the oposite and thats the scary part. It's like smoking or anything else which is addictive, drugs, choclate, gambling, you enjoy it so much you ignore the consequences and the results are to follow. In the end you get scared to quit because you spent so much time of your life which you do not want to be wated. This could be worth thinking of when you turn down that family dinner because you have to camp HNMs with your LS that day.
