Remembering the legend.

It's only been 6 years, ... 'only'. But in my lifetime there hasn't been a loss as significant as this one.

You will never be forgotten.

You will forever be missed.

Your music will always live on.

You were my Elvis.

Love you man, miss you dude. Live on Dimebag <3

(I wish I could write something a little more heart felt, or with more substance, but this topic still gets to me, even after all these years.)

and with that, some of his amazing work..., for those of you who don't have much of a stomach for any metal, start listening at 3:35ish for a taste of his talents.

A dead issue, don't wrestle with it, deaf ears are sleeping
A guilty bliss, so inviting (let me in), nailed to the cross

I feel you, relate to you, accuse you
Wash away us all, take us with the floods
Then throughout the night, they were raped and executed
Cold hearted world
Your language unheard of, the vast sound of tuning out
The rash of negativity is seen one sidedly, burn away the day

The nervous, the drifting, the heaving
Wash away us all, take us with the floods
Then throughout the day mankind played with grenades
Cold hearted world
And at night they might bait the pentagram
Extinguishing the sun
Wash away man, take him with the floods

Went to his grave a few years back, people are still loving of the guy, and bring him Beer and what not. Nice to see people respectful of a musical artist.

He deserves it. He was humble, he seemed rather down to earth and a decent dude.

He posed for me back in 2001, though that picture was destroyed when the owner of the camera screwed the flim =( Biggest upset ever, before his death.

Some friends of mine just had their first ever Pantera tribute, and they're badass, damn good musicians and it was a blessing to hear it live again. There are no bands out there that confidently cover Pantera.. not that I've ever seen anyway.

A friend called it a dark day in history, and it truly is.
