Ok I just heard this rummor and I'm wondering if anyone can back it up or say false.
Is there a extra hit with off hand weapon when dual-welding during a multi-hit ws?

I've never thought of this being possible because the animations never go along with this.

Discuss peez.

Yes. Welcome to three years ago when it was discovered. It doesn't even have to be a multihit skill. Dual Wield will turn a one-hit skill into a two-hit. It's the same reason why there are no one-hit hand to hand skills.

There's been mention from reputable sources that the offhand weapon must match the mainhand weapon for it to be included in the WS.

I just don't believe this, and don't think I ever will. I've added my TP up time and time again, I get the correct return on Rampage offhanding sword and I get the correct return offhanding axe.

Yeah, matching shouldn't be an issue, since it's not like you can even use the weaponskills of your offhand weapon. It all goes to the same TP, they're both used in the same skill, regardless of type.

Matching weapons definently isn't an issue. Even with multi-hit weapons like Axe/Kraken club.

is the extra hit from DW count as a regular hit from the main hand or is the damage of the offhand weapon calculated into the factor as well?

Offhand is calc'd using it's own base dmg, if I understood that correctly.

True, and KC gives me another 1% return over my SK.
Dmg, as an E rated weapon doesn't do shit, but that's another story, lol.

Yeah besides reading the TP returned, I could barely tell if my WS would proc DA offhand, unless it would crit...And even then it was hard to distinguish.

Thats really more of a delay difference thing, than a specific weapon type.

That's true, I get 14 TP returned from Dagger/Sword and 13 TP from Dagger/Dagger.

I always thought the offhand and the "Once a hit misses on a multi-hit WS, all the ones after miss" rumors were both really silly. Luckily, both are untrue.

Here's how it works, using Blade: Jin as an example, a "3 hit" ws.

You get 3 hits with your main hand weapon, the first for the same TP as a normal swing, the the 2nd and 3rd for 1 TP each. You can double attack once with your mainhand weapon if you have the job trait/gear/food that gives it to you, and the extra hit from DA gives 1 TP.

You get 1 hit from your offhand weapon for the same TP as a normal swing, and can DA for 1 TP on that hit.

I ussually 16~19% TP return with /nin dual wield.
With non-dual wield jobs i ever have 10~12%
Try it. TP return means how many hits you land.
