Why is it that being hasted is almost to much to ask anymore especially since this frustration is coming from merit pts. How do you reach 75 whm or rdm and not know how to do a haste order... I mean ima a nin and not giving a nin haste is like not refreshing a pld.

I just wanna her some excuses from the public cause i'm a 75 rdm as well and haste is always on my DDs no matter what, it shouldnt even wear off from how im concerned.

Simple Rdm order, use the timer on your refresh to know when you restart the order, haste will last longer than refresh. Ima do my fav setup in KRT for the new ppl thats king ranperres tomb, its my fav place to merit if on rdm.
setup: Mnk mnk mnk rdm whm brd
Step1. refresh self
Step2. haste mnk 1
step3. cast 2 other spells like dia or cure or something
step4. refresh whm
step 5. haste mnk 2
step 6. repeat step 3
step 7. refresh brd/whm (if needed)
step 8. Haste mnk 3
step 9. help whm out, silence needed mage mobs, heal if you need to.

Then when your refresh wears off restart order, doin this the mnks will never lose haste, and your xp will be faster everyone will be happy.

Whms you dont have refresh to help time idk wtf you guys do but i have had good whms that kept me and the other melees hasted.

I play mostly on rdm and in exp pts I honestly don't waste the MP hasting myself or a pld tank. I rather toss the pld a phalnax II and use my refresh wearing off as the indicator when to start the refresh > haste > refresh > haste cycle. If a pld really needs his flash timer to be 10 secs faster so badly to hold hate or cure himself faster cause he can't time it properly then he's probably a shitty tank anyway.

I also think it should be a rdms job to cast the hastes not whms as we're all inclined to do. I have plenty of mp and time to debuff the mob, do a refresh/haste cycle, dispel and MB a skillchain. Since I tend to outlast a whm anyway mp wise I think giving them less things to cast and myself more would probably balance things out more.

Just my 2 cents.

I'd agree with you, but you hate cats.

I've been sorely disappointed in the quality of most mages lately. Leveling my ninja, the one job that's practically required to get haste, few mages are smart enough to figure out to keep haste on me. I have to ask most of the time, because they're incapable of casting a spell every 3 minutes. It's a side effect of people not giving a shit about other players' deficiencies and SE continually making it easier to level.

That and vets quitting left and right.

Never forget those days b4 the PS2 version came out. Granted i was a very low lvl at the time, people atleast did thier shit right. I still would take one of those pt's i had over the pt's iv been having recently.

(that is not to say PS2 players all suck)

I played on PC first, (just prefer playing on PS2). It's not the gaming console, it's the lazy people who just want to get to 75 without working for it.

Im not saying its the PC that makes people better, im saying its strangly that coincidencial that the older people know how to play better, even when they were new at it. That or i was just lucky enough to have mostly good players around me. I dno.

I dont like most newer people now days either way... hell you and i both know this first hand from a few days ago w/ that one blm... X_X.

lol the Elvaan BLM with the gimp sub who insisted on standing with the melee even though I was on bard?

and had only 40 something gil after he bought a choco for just over 200 gil...

ya that one.

lol he bought warp II at "45", for 10k... and had that much gil left....

ill never forget tho when he asked who the tank was....

This problem is why I pretty much refuse to merit with any WHM or RDM that I don't know. Over half the time, a pick up mage is god awful and will not haste or dia mobs, ever. Its sad, and whenever I ask them to haste the melees, I'm just some "whiney, lazy melee." Dia has become far too rare as well from mages in merits.

Depends on the pt setup. On RDM I haste everyone, refresh myself and dia 3 the mob.

Depends on the setup for me as well. When I'm brd, I go brd/rdm and I Dia II the thf mamools or anything else I'm worried will kill a chain. If I'm whm, it's too much of a hit to efficiency to cast Dia if I'm resting. I can do Dia and Flash when I'm up, but I'm not standing up to cast it because that will just mess the chain up. I get pissed at myself on whm though if I ever see a Haste wear off of anyone. I'm really anal about keeping it on at all times.

What's sad is more and more frequently I find warriors who seemingly don't know what a level 5 job ability called Provoke does, fully 70 levels after obtaining it.

Replace "ninja" with "blue mage", and "haste" with "refresh" and I understand some of your pain, lol. Though, I haven't had a problem with that past the 50's. Does make me glad that BLU gets it's own haste, though only +10%.

This is exactly What i do when on RDM. On WHM I keep my eyes open for when haste on the 1st person I casted on wears off to recast. I was once told by a (shitty)RDM that WHM's are in charge of Hasting full time for the simple fact that we have more MP than RDM. That didn't bug me at all, but what pisses me off is that most RDM don't know when to use Convert & some don't ever do it.

Haste is one of those areas where I bump up against RDMs all the time. I'm content to split the duty if they want (most of them have trained themselves to do all the Hasting from partying with WHMs who don't), but I won't let a RDM Haste a Ninja. The tank is mine-all-mine.

hmm I would always do 2:1 or 2:2 with whm as gimped elv with not to much mp. As for Dia on meriting some mobs die to quick to justify enfeebling but dia is the bare minimum I would say
