Am I the only one this is happening to? I was in a pt in CN. Everything going fine then suddenly R0 and d/c. Now I can't get back on! This seems to be happening a lot to me lately and it's doing my head in. My internet is perfectly fine, I can log into POL but just time out trying to log into the game itself.:x

That what happened the other night in Gairlige Citadel (pardon my butchering of the name.. >.>)?? You were there.. having a grand old time, making jokes about alcohol. and then *poof!!* No more Sharpe!!.. ;.;

Yup. It keeps happening. At first I thought it was my internet's usual annoying habit of dying at night, with the router being downstairs usually I just think sod it i'm half asleep i'll go to bed. However it's started doing it during the day now. I know it probably sounds laughable but do you think the UK's UBER HOT weather that we've been having has anything to do with it? Us generally not having AC and all?
 
I had that for a month, could log into every online game but FFXI but could still get into PoL.
 
It has happened to me on and off starting like 3 weeks ago
 
I too have been noticing this behavior. Every day at random times I can sign in and for about 15 minutes I'll be walking around and then I notice all chat stoppage, and then R0 and I actually have to force DC. I hate doing that.

This has been happening with annoying frequency in the past month or two. I'm glad I'm not the only one having these issues though, as I was previously attributing it to the wireless router.
 
12hrs on the dot i DC 2 times a day
heck i can tell party when im going to DC lol as IP changes and need to reset wireless
it sucks but thats life
 
Its been happening for a few days with me, like when i try to bazaar overnight or try to do an optical hat run - .-

are nin DC 5 times on O hat run even on his pop so the first fight he was in alive on drop we gave it to him who evers HK it was
 
I know that when i have AOL up that it doesn't like it, When someone AIM's me it causes my pol to crash
 
benn happening to me a lot too. just log on then get r0 about 5 times before i just hit my computer and it works again.

Last summer I had to replace my cable modem because it was somehow damaged from the humidity, so you should probably call your ISP.

Also, in regards to wireless routers, I had a time where I couldn't get a good signal on the same floor as it, and it was because of a cable splitter we had. So, in case you're splitting it, get a dedicated line. If that's not the issue, and this always seems to work for me when the wireless is sucking bad, is just turn it off for a little while. You'd be amazed at how much your connection improves from just powering down for a couple hours.
 
Yar, I think 90% of the time when ppl experiance problems like this, its probably the ISP.

Once in a blue moon, my ISP will just crap out and not give me the bandwidth needed to maintain a connection within FFXI. That, or it just shuts down completely.

This could also be attributed to X amount of ppl on the same ISP sucking up X amount of bandwidth, and everything just gets pulled to thin to maintain a reliable connection.
 
It happened to me last night while in Dynamis >.>

Regular internet worked fine though, I blame SE for not wanting me to get a 100 coin.

blame SE for going on a 56k server for the PS2 players
if was not for them we could get onto a better server and less/no DCs from server side
