Random /tell for help?

While in Jeuno in my Mog house talking to my LS, I received a random tell from a lvl 43 DRK. There was no hello/how are you or sorry to bother you. Word for word this is he message "wanna help me with AF1?" :roll:

And it's not like I had a mentor flag up or anything (becuase I haven't even registered for that.) This kid was in Windhurst and I was in Jeuno. He expected me to go to Windhurst and help him out. :shock: :evil:

I try and help as many people as I can when they ask but this was just rude. If I was in Windhurst then not a big deal but what the heck is wrong with people and manners these days? Needless to say he did not get a response back or help from me. :roll:

yea i get that stupid ass shit all the time too. I dont mind helping, hell look at my rank and youll see thats quite apparent :roll: . But I get tells like " sexy brd, help me do sam quest!" or even getting asked for a raise 4 zones away by a lvl 22 character. :x

The least you can do is be polite if youre gonna ask for something from someone you dont know... I thought it was common sense but then again after being in so many mmo's you can see how the respect has degraded to a childish standard.

I get the same thing for raises. Had someone go to me while helping a friend PL in tahro<tab> who sends me a /tell "Raise me". I found out that this was the person who I had been asked politely to raise from a party member. I told the person requesting what happened and said for me to forget raising the guy. So here's what I did instead, several other ppl where dead in the canyon close to him, and I raised them instead while mentioning on a /say "See, when you ask nicely you get raised". Well that's my 2 cents. Which utimately leads to saying: "I feel your pain". Happens all the time. Doh ><

lol. I got a /tell from some lv 42 Rng the other night while i was in the tree xping. I ususally take /anon of in pt's, and this guy must have done a /sea all Rng and chose me. (yayy). anyway, he begins sending me /tells about rng af1, can I help him do it, WHAT IS IT!!! (wtf, i didnt know either, but i hit the web and found out in 5 min), and "Ill PAY you to come help me get it"
the camp was pretty link heavy and talking and fighting was dangerous, but i didnt want to be rude. he was polite (more or less). i did what i could to get some sense into him. but i agree, even after i told him "Fighting right now" he continued to send me tells. asked i would do it with him after i left the party. the gil offer kinda set me aback. i suppose from one argument compensating a total stranger you ask for help with gil is ok. paying them for their time. But, i find it distasteful. Had i been available, i would have helped him for free.

Guys you arent giving me much to look forward to. Maybe being a Thf i dont have much to offer. Ive had the occasional tell asking for help getting a skull or two, but nothing major (except a trip for some treasure keys for RSE - sucked >.<) Im a lil worried bout my TH2 status though and i run around anon all the time. I hate when people are anon so i guess ill stop. But man, imma be mad if people get rude with me!!

Faedryth, if you don't want random /tells asking you for help, just put that in your search comment and hope that whoever is trying to send you a /tell is smart enough to see that you aren't in the mood to help.
