Ok i was recalling my experiences the past two trips through the meat grinder (Valkurm and Quifim) and I was comparing them to my first two. I was Warrior and Thief the first two times, the second I was Ninja and Ranger. It really is amazing how things change when you get an advanced job. I went through party invites like water. Im playing the most expensive jobs in the game people, not gonna waste time/money on parties that will just get me killed as im a lil too trigger happy. Amazingly, being picky paid off. Every time i got into a party it was awesome with my most recent experience being the best. Get this...

Ok so im a 20 (just barely like 46 into it) ranger seeking in Qufim. I had actually had to solo two levels while waiting for invites in the previous days. So i finally get an invite ( a tell (/party?) one amazingly from a blm when i did a sea all) and head over. Turns out its an awesome setup. Blm, Whm, Pld, Rdm, Rng, Nin. So a few fights later the rdm leaves and luckily we got another blm. This is when it got crazy. I was pulling, and about 3 fights into it we hit the groove and didnt stop. I swear i stopped for a minute about once a GAME DAY. No joke, i literally did not stop pulling. We killed sooo many clippers and bats and giants and pugils. We were doing about 5-6k an hour no joke. It was disgusting. But amazingly by being picky all my party experiences have been good this time through. So dont feel forced to accept that first invite when there are 200 people in the area :D

That's awesome it worked so well for you. I think it very much depends on your class though...A Ninja with Utsu Ichi can be picky because they are in such high demand as blink tanks but a theif on the other hand hardley gets any invites and usually has to pt with whoever he can get.
When I was looking for groups in the dunes and qufim with my summoner I had a pretty hard time getting parties. Usually when I finally did get an invite it was to play WHM because of a lack of healers in the area. I've come to accept this as part of my job...the fact that most of the time I can't summon even to give a party buff. I just don't think every class has the luxury of being picky about who they pt with. There are points when you draw the line though, like disbanding after being killed 3 times out of 5 fights - but I'd reccomend seeing just how high in demand your job is before you start declining invites =)

Hope it goes as well as it did in the Dunes and Death Island for the remainder of your party experiences though =D

Lol Sabia I partied with you when I was coming through with Ninja I think it was, might have been warrior as Ive been through with 3 jobs in about 2 weeks now :). But as I recall you were able to summon quite a few and only had to heal a little bit ^^. I hate when people get forced to do something they dont want to. I enjoyed every chance I could get to eat attack food and be a DD for my parties. Just like I enjoy tanking now as a ranger (joking by the way). But you are quite right. I did a find members as I was making parties and found about 8 warriors seeking. So you do make a valid point :). Thank god for ranger...

^^ well wouldnt complain at least your getting parties :D
now a days for me it goes a lil like this:

Me>> You guys got a spare slot for a 18 drg?
Leader>> Dragoon eh? let me ask the pt.
Me>> ( waits in hopes of a "Welcome aboard" )
Me>> ( Still waiting. )
Leader>> Sorry we just filled the spot with a monk.
Me>> Ok. Sorry to bother ^^;;

or in other cases the pt already has 2 drg both like rank 2 and sumtimes brandishing amethist rings and gloves while i went out and blew 24k on battle gloves and 2 balance rings ** feels good he didnt try to go for Balance ring +1 **
