So i am going through some of the new updates on my Model viewer (AtlanaView) and seeing what the New Chocobos will look like and i notice some new animations for Ranks 11-15.
Was wondering if anyone else has noticed this or if they are just in the .dat files for maybe a later time to be introduced.

I'm pretty sure the Ranks 11+ have been in the system since the Zilart expansion. Probably like the Toad spell, they were planned and animations were placed in the game files, but were never implemented as such.

Theres also stuff like Thundaga V animations, and all sorts of other goodies.

Who knows, SE might implement them, they might not... My money is resting on Not.

there's A LOT of animations not implemented. Most of them were planned on being added, but were not for several reasons. They are, however, starting to use some of them, like tier-2 AM, and tier-4 ga's (mob only -.-). So woh knows, they might add them at one point, but I highly doubt its any time soon.

yep like the diaga II spells and such, we wont get it=/

theres waterga XIXX or somethin along them lines, Most modelviewers dont pick it up unless you code it in there yourself, but its hilarious. it floods a whole zone with water. ive seen alot of dats that most people dont see that i wish theyd add. Not that one tho...that would be retarded.

I know what you're referring to, and it's actually another edit where a cut scene was changed into a spell animation. It was the opening to CoP with Bahamut, it was pretty cool actually. It's at the very end of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mhMZWrkYuY

I've tried telling him that, but does he listen? no ~.~

i know what it is. i just said you gotta code it in yourself, but there are tons of dats modelviewers dont pick up without coding them in, ive told uzor that. The astalavista group i belong to did this stuff long ago.
a seperate sector of our group has even broken the packet encryption. we've seen stuff most won't.
For instance, two scythe animations not in modelviewers.
One consists of throwing the scythe sending it spinng, and on impact it creates a big glowing green skull and a crack down its forehead.
really neat animation.
the other i havent seen yet

Naw, you said the animation was called Waterga XIXX :p I said there was no such animation, and it was edited ;p and last I checked, a cutscene animation made in to a .dat spell is edited ;p

But w/e ^^

thats what it shows up as in the code. so thats what its titled....

I wouldn't call a constant flood that never ends is a spell animation, and there is no roman number XIXX :p

If you watch the scene, its the ocean. That's not a spell effect :p And if its called XIXX, that's what your friend names it, since the spells doesn't have a name originally. Only time they get a name, is when the programmer who made the program that shows the animation names it.

within the game code, open it in a decompiler if we need to get technical. in that cutscene its titled WATERGA XIXX, it says it clearly after a few timers.
http://www.newfreedownloads.com/find/decompiler.html

my friends didnt name it, it was pulled out of a decompiler in the game code itself from that scene. Sorta like the little "ahahah you little cheater" section SE put in the files.

In another scene there is a thing called Doomsday Blast as well. You may know everything youve seen from dats or whatever and it makes ya feel ya know everything inside and out ffxi. but with all do respect ya dont, and i hate when you try to make it sound like i dont know what im talking about.
ill PM you more info about getting into the group if youd like to learn.

Just pointing out XXIX= 29.

Edit: It's not XIXX its named XXIX you got it backwards. All films of the .dat swap says XXIX.

I know it is, but XIXX doesn't exist :p

And even if it WOULD be called XXIX (assuming that's what you ment), that doesn't mean that its an unreleased spell.
