Ranking up in Campaign

From my experiance:
Ribbon: 5,000 Allied Notes (Must wait 5 days from most recent Evaluation)
Star: 5,000 - 6,000 Allied Notes (Must wait 5 days from most recent Evaluation)

I did not obtain 10,000 Allied Notes to progress from Bronze Star to Sterling Star. I normally do about 5,000 to 7,000 ANotes and then go for my next evaluation. To date I haven't picked the option to wait, when talking to the evaltuaion NPC.

Campaign Evaluation

These values, especially cap calculations, were very different before March 10, 2008.

I'm really confused now. Some people say its based on xp, others are saying its allied notes, some are saying its a combination and also depends on the time you wait to be assessed? Guess i'll wait for more feedback, I hate that SE doesn't explain half the things in this game and leaves it up to the players to figure it out. Things like this shouldn't have to be calculated by the players -_-;;;

When you're talking with the NPC for Evaltuation, he will say how long you have to wait until your next available time to 'Rank Up'.

As far as rank ups being based on Exp or ANotes, I've always assumed it was ANotes and counted them accordingly. So far, doing that hasn't steared me wrong. If there's something out there that proves one over the other, I'm not aware of it.

Also, I wanted to point out that the "Campaign XP Point Calculations" link I posted has nothing to do with ranking up.

i was able to rank up Brass Wings -> Mythril Wings yesterday (Should have only waited 5 days in between, i tend to rank evaluation asap and never have a problem). I probalby didnt get more than 10k exp but i got way more than double that in AN, this along with some other factors still convinces me that wings ranking is based off AN.

-AN is the system of the past, seems naturally obvious to me that ranking woudl be based on this, also it takes an AN penalty to switch allegiances.
-Campaign Ops supposedly play a big part in ranking up (or else whats the point of it being there), most ops give very low xp but high AN rewards. According to figures posted so far, it would take about 30 campaign ops to rank up if it was based on exp, thats total bs, doesnt even take half that amount.
-Campaign battle rewards give XP and AN, however if you've done it enough you will have noticed a system in the rewards. AN limited by the duration of the campaign, and XP is calculated via your contributions but cannot double your AN rewards. Basically if you get 1000AN and 2000XP from a fight, you have capped out on the returns. From this we can see that campaign battles are centered around AN and not XP.

Now if people who just say "its based of xp" can provide more concrete reasons, ill be glad to hear em.

My main arguement for why I think it could be XP is that I did 30+ Streetsweeper II's when they were 400+ AN a pop and still didn't get rank up that month. However, the next month I got less AN but more XP via campaign and got the rank up. Although this is SE so how they do it is anyone's guess.

might be a duel combo of both exp and AN also seem the longer you wait the more you have to do. Goes from only needing maybe 5-10 campaigns at start to campaigning for 6 hours and still unable to keep your medal on day 30.

Another thing going be very upset if you have to get all the ops completed to lock your rank at the end. Reason be I have never seen Granite rose II, III pit fighter II, III or brave dawn II,III. Have not seen Crystal Fist IV but that one new just hope you don't have to have 100 craft to do it.

Well one thing I know for sure, is that wiki is not accurate.

According to this link I was suppose to have earned at least 25k experience points in order to rank up to Iron Emblem of Service ∮∮. The reality is that i've only done just a little over 10k (at the most 12k) worth of campaign in the last 5 days from my last rank up, and this morning when I spoke to the NPC to be assessed, he awarded me with the Iron Iron Emblem of Service ∮∮.

So i'm just going to conclude that there are obviously other things involved in calculating the requirements to rank up, which is pretty clear from the responses in this thread with people being able to rank up with different results.

Leave it to SE to design things in this game and not make them clear, so that the players have no choice but to test things out if they want to figure it out. -_-

well those wiki numbers may have been correct before they added the most recent batch of medals..not sure though as i just recently got on emblems

3rd emblem 9896 exp 6090 AN think i only did 7 battles and 1 ops within 5 days
