Rant post.

I'm not one to hold my toungue so I wont. I won't mention names because I don't care who gets the blame. What I do care about is being in an experience party and no one knowing what they are doing. Here are my major problems and they have happened to me quite a bit while leveling today so let's start with the things I hate, feel free to add, disagree, agree or say "hey that was me screw you", im sure someone will.

Things That Have Happened To Me That Suck In Game

1. Joining A Party that has a SAM, PLD, SMN/WHM, BLM, DRK and can't decide if they want a DRG or RDM because they are both seeking and someone going oh I know, we need another DD and then want to complain about how slow xp is coming.

2. Asking for a skillchain, but not knowing a skillchain and when given one, even though you give a TP <Call> no one else gives you one. Then get mad because you used your Weapon Skill.

3. PLD who doesn't use all of there defend/enimity boosting skills at lvl 50+. With me being a DRK I can take ok damage but when I havent had a heal and am Voking off of a mage because the PLD can't hold hate off of a cure (not cure II or III a cure) then there is a problem.

4. Helping out someone because they got a link, only have them continue pulling links asking for help. Then when you tell them to be careful because someone in your party was killed due to their carelessness having them be angry with you saying "Don't tell me how to play the game" when all you said was be careful. Ok so maybe I added if you dont know how to pull don't. But hey it was just a comment.

5. Getting link aggro and telling your PT don't heal me let me die that way you don't get aggro and the party doesnt die and having them run out to heal you having the whole party die. Then ask you "How did you get that link? why did you bring them here?" when they ran out to you...

6. Getting to your destined location/camp (if your PT can decide where to go) Everyone going "Ready!" to start and hearing, Ok so who is going to pull?

7. Saying I have never been here but can pull if you want to trust someone who has never been here with pulling. People agreeing and then everyone hating the pulls. Go figure.

I'm sure im beating a dead horse but add your rants lets hear them.

The things that piss me off the most are when people choose to go afk while in an exp party.

1. Going afk in the middle of an exp chain.
2. Going afk in the middle of battle.
3. Going afk excessively or for extended periods of time. "afk 15 min gotta go pick something up at the store" :roll:

My thoughts...

1. Yeah, that guy's a moron. Unless it's before level 41 (no Refresh), but I don't think it was in this case...

2. Yeah, I hate people that don't know how important SCs are. Although I don't blame you if you don't want to make a SC when it wouldn't be beneficial (i.e. if everyone has to use weak WSs to make it and there's no one in the party to burst on it).

3. Ugh, I hate moronic PLDs. If I ever get a PLD in one of my parties that can't hold hate (and it's obvious that it's not because of an over-ambitious BLM or something), he gets the boot as soon as I can get a replacement.

4. Solution: stop helping the guy that got the link and watch him die. Makes most people shut up fast.

5. Hm, never had that happen to me... I rarely pull links we can't handle, though, so that helps. And it's always fun to link things on purpose when you're chaining Ts and VTs.

6. You know, I always ask that, but mainly because I want to know if someone else wants to pull. I can pull just fine (unless there's magic aggro mobs near the things I'm pulling - my only way of pulling is with Poison or Stun), but if someone else would rather pull, I let them.

7. If I ever have to pull in an area that I've never pulled in before, I just be very, very careful. Just pretend that every mob links through sight and sound, and all mobs aggro to sight, sound, smell, low HP, magic, /checks, and emotes unless you know for sure that they don't.

Good Advice. I usually talk to higher lvl players just to get advice on not just doing things, but doing them right. That and the fact that Im the lowest lvl in my LS gets me a lot of instructors lol.

All you should need to know is what aggroes, links and based on what detection and you should be able to start pulling without ever having been somewhere before. It's not like the rules change based on the area you only need common sense.

About his pulling complaint, I don't think it's the pullers he's concerned about. It's the party complaining that the pulls suck when they knew damn well the puller they appointed is new to the area.

It's not so much stupid people he's complaning about. It's stupid people complaining about their own dumb actions and not realizing it.

It's like asking what's more annoying, the quiet noob who messes everything up but doesn't say anything, or the loudmouth noob who thinks he knows everything and will downtalk to you when he obviously doesn't have a clue what he's saying (and also screws everything up).

KRP party, NIN/RNG/RNG/RNG/WAR/SMN, all 56-58 at the time and needed to know an SC.
Ironic that that turned into one of the best parties I'd ever been in at like 6.8/h or so..

I love it when some tanks get mad cause I'm not healing "them" fast enough. Its funny when they yell at me as WHM for that when I have 5 other ppl to heal cause hate is not being managed; well in this specific case at least. (it's another issue if I'm sleepy XD that's when I dont try to be a WHM).

I feel at most I should be casting Cure III and managing with Healing rates with Regen II or higher with the occasionally hateless Cure V when the mob decided to do something hard hitting to the tank or DD. I had one party with a bad tank that had me casting Cure V and IV on everyone not including myself and the RDM and I end up dying from doing the same thing except I went down faster after my buffs (Stoneskin and Blink) went down.

The tank says: "Why were you Casting V and IV so much" I say, cause you weren't healing yourself and you were dying and I'm WHM and it's what I do cause apparently your body doesnt like to take Cure IIIs and actually keep the HP. In this case I'm talking about a PLD that will remain nameless. There was no reason to yell at me especially when the PLD had FULL MP and was not silenced so there was no excuse on the PLD's part to not cast any of the 4 lvls of Cure a PLD gets.
