My F***kin' cat has chewed through $500 dollars worth of headphone, and headset cables alike so far. So I'm going to beat the stupid beast at its own game and buy a pair of wireless headphones.

However, all the half decent ones I can find are for stereo/tv only and require RCA's or White/red connectors to function. I'm wondering if there was anyway I could rig up my PC with RCA's to be able to use my headphones. OR since I'm using my HDTV as my monitor, a way to hook up my sound to that, and then continue to use the headphones that way... ANy ideas would be welcome.

I can S-video out on both my video cards if that makes a difference.

They make RCA Female > 3.5mm (headphone) Male adapters. Should be available at your local radio shack or any online cable dealer.

Most of the wireless headphones that I've seen have a charging station which you plug into the TV/PC. The charging station has a 3.5mm jack on it, and you either use a 3.5/3.5 cable or a 3.5/RCA depending on what you're plugging it in to.

alternative solution: let your cat chew through something with a current going through it, it will learn rather fast that it's a bad idea.

Cats hate the smell of vick's vaporub, smear a little of that on wires will keep them from chewing on them.

Thanks guys, I picked up the 3.5> rca cable, however the ends are males and I realized that too late. It was like 9 bucks so whatever. I'll pick up the headphones tomorrow probs and just go from there I guess. I hope like you said Baj that they come with 3.5>3.5 connector so I don't have to make another trip to where I got the first adaptor.
