Ok I used to use cookies because I would always have to heal for mp since pre-40 I was always main healer and enfeebler. Now that I hit 40 I was wondering what shoud I use now that Convert is readily available. I'm a taru and have loaded up on INT gear so pies would just bump my INT a little more than I have now. But I didn't know if glace would be good or if I should use something else. Please help me out.

i believe melon pies..and ill spare you the extra 20,000 words that a rdm would of added too that

At those lvls, I was always using Melon Pies +1 because as elvaan, I lacked in the INT and they gave a fair amount of MP.

If you're wanting to get more out of your convert, Marron Glace or even Orange Kuchens are good but I believe those are based on a %, so you might get more out of a food that has a predetermined amount of MP such as Rolanberry Pie +1, at earlier levels.

If you go to http://ffxi.somepage.com and look up foods, they will list what foods give you MP and if that's what you're looking for, you can find which one is the best for you at your lvl.

You'll never be a l33t rdm with those pansy foods. Grab your heaviest stick, mow some sushi, and show them bitches what a real DD isnt.

Seeing as you are a taru I would imagine Marrone Glance would be usful to you earlier then it would be for other races, but if you want to hold off until its use is maximized and are just looking for mp, I would suguesst Rolanberry Pie.

It really depends on how you need to play. If your party setup is letting you get some tics of rest, Mushrooms (hMP) are pretty hard to beat (and in general, MND>INT for RDMs, with Slow and Paralyse increasing in strength with more MND). When you're main healing though, you may not get to rest at all, and if you're going to be pushed for MP then pies are a pretty good cheap option in the mid levels.

If the party's decent enough to justify the 3 hour duration and the price tag, Mushroom Stew's really good. 40 MP, 4 MND, 4 hMP, -4 enmity.

i used melon pie as well. +mp is really the most helpful out of that since you get more from your convert... also i partied with nins a lot and didn't really enfeeble much.

mushroom stew i think you'll find to be the best overall option, it has -enm on it as well which you will immediately notice the impact from.

As said, stack MND as much as you can and your paralyze will be worthwhile.
So use whichever food gives most MND.

Saves the ninjas the lousy :Ichi casting time :P

Im only level 40 myself as a RDM, but I've rarely found myself in a situation, main healing or not, where i've been hard-pressed for MP, and my RDM is Hume. If you arent worried about MP, then I suggest picking up a Goblin Mushpot, from the goblin merchants in Lower Jeuno. You've got stacked INT as is, and youre a taru to boot, so your INT should be practically through the roof as is. The Mushpot only confers MND, but its +10 MND, so it will nicely boost all your White Magic enfeebles. I've only just starting building my INT gear, but as far as a MND set up, the Mushpot has never failed me.

Most stuff's already been covered...if your MP is way below your HP, Marron Glace may be best...but seeing as you're a Taru, I doubt that's the case.

MND vs INT...is a good question. Depends on the role you tend to take, and whether you prefer to sub WHM or BLM (or SMN, but that's genereally an "eh" subjob for RDM); I personally went for more MND, as it helps in landing Slow/Paralyze/Silence more.

Gravity and Sleep USUALLY don't have trouble landing unless the mob is already strong versus Wind/Dark magic anyways. (Poison / Poison II...most all XP mobs between L30 and 60 are water-resistant, so I personally didn't think much of them; I had trouble landing those even with full Enfeebling merits, even). If you're the setup that tends to toss full-blown DoTs on mobs you may want to go with INT food instead, just to land the DoTs more often.

I personally don't like the DoT setup myself, since the mob should be dead within the minute anyhow so tossing 4-5 DoTs after Dia/Bio is just a waste, in my opinion.

with the mp cap of marron glace it would not really be decent choice for lvl 40, there are others that are suited for that lvl though.

I firmly endorse this message.

as do i. trau rdm's dont need to jack up their MP as much as the other races. and landing enfeebs easier is a good thing no matter how u slice it.

oh and btw those goblin mushpots can be bought from one the goblin vendors from lower jueno. Also mushroom Risotto can be bought in windurst waters from the taverns

Well with all this talk of MND and everything for my enfeebles, should I Have Wisdom Rings (+3 INT) with Black Cape +1(+3 INT), 2xMorion Earrings(+1 INT) or should I switch all that out for MND gear (Solace Rings, White Cape +1, Geist Earrings)? Is there a median or how should I deal with that? Any help would be appreciated. Currently I'm wearing:
Solid Wand
Bastokan Targe
Morion Tathlum
Electrum Hairpin
Holy Phail
Morion Earring
Morion Earring
Barron (body peice)
Zealot's Mitts
Wisdom Ring
Wisdom Ring
Black Cape +1
Druid's Rope
Wonder (legs)
Mage's Sandals

If you're talking about spells and what gear to use for each, macro in either INT or MND gear depending on which the spell is dependant on. For example, your paralyze spell you would want to macro in all and any MND gear. If you're not using any kind of mod that allows you to have more than 5 slots to equip gear in your spell macro, then select the items that have the most MND+ stats.

Ex: Paralyze (MND)
/ma "Paralyze" <stnpc>
/equip ear1 "Geist Earring"
/equip ear2 "Geist Earring"
/equip ring1 "Solace Ring"
/equip ring2 "Solace Ring"
/equip hands "Zealot's Mitts"
/equip neck "Holy Phial"

Ex: Gravity (INT)
/ma "Gravity" <stnpc>
/equip ear1 "Morrion Earring"
/equip ear2 "Morrion Earring"
/equip ring1 "Wisdom Ring"
/equip ring2 "Wisdom Ring"
/equip hands "Anything else that offers INT"
/equip neck "Black Silk Neckerchief"

(Hope that's what you were asking about)
