Ok I did that for the past 2 days and it didnt work... any other suggestions.. I mean the controller light is on and all, and I went to the config and game play menu and checked everything, and I am used to playing with controller, so I dont know what to do

On a more serious note if you've already made a topic about your controller not working either post in that or at least put up a link to it. Any random schmuck who walks in to this thread is going to be somewhat lost.

Did you go through the start menu > all programs > Play Online > Final Fantasy XI > Final Fantasy XI Config

Once you open the config tool, on the general tab, should be a button that says Gamepad Settings. Set everything up in there.

Also, your controller has to be plugged in before you start up the game. Also, I have no clue what your original question was but I hope that helps.
