Re-installing ffxi on a new pc

[Dudika]

My PC died over a week ago and my new PC is coming today. I have all my registration codes and CDs for all expansions BUT CoP. I do have the CD for CoP but cant find the book. Do i need the reg codes to reinstall ffxi on my new pc? If so, can i call SE and they will give it to me or should i get the ffxi collection cd and just plug in my info? Please help. thx

You don't need any reg codes at all, actually. The only thing they are used for is creating a new account and registering expansions to accounts. Since you already have your account and everything already from playing on your other PC, all you need to do is install the game, and log in using your existing POL ID and password, and SE account ID and password (if you have one).

LOL, yeah... depending on how old your disks are, you could have had 7 years worth of updates to download.
