really no one playing FFTA at all?

I've been playing FFTA since christmas. I love the way the battles work and the story just got interesting. Its just that the battles take too long. I like my portable games to quick and fun. I want to be able to play for 15-30 min and make some progress. Maybe I'm doing something wrong but my battles take about an hour where Im at in the game. I guess what Im saying is that I wish I would have played this game on PS instead of on the GBA. Other than that, when I have the time to play(i.e. when I'm at my moms house doing laundry, cause she doesnt have any video games at her house) I love the game.

I named my clan Shadowen. I was in one of my moods I get into after reading a Terry Brooks book. If you dont know , Shadowen is a type of creature in the Heritage of Shannara series by Terry Brooks.

I received an offer to incorporate into a larger clan but I refused and whooped their butt. Was that a mistake?

I am not that far into FFTA that I could tell you. I don't believe you can make a mistake per se, no choice made has a true negative outcome as far as I know.

I never played any FF before I got my GBA and so I named by clan Kupos, since I have no idea what a Kupo is, I also aptly named my character Kupo, which makes for some interesting dialog at times.

Currently playing Fire Emblem most of the time, want to finish that one "really quick" before I get back to 100+ hours of FFTA.

heh I'm trying to get Cid as a playable character now.....I named my clan Hokuten cuz I'm a major fan of the original....I say this is a dumbed down version of the PS one....but thats me

I've been playing FFTA for a few months now, off and on. Well at least until FFXI became a part of my daily life. I'd have to agree with one poster that some of the battles take way too long when all I want to do is put in a few mintutes of gametimes while I'm waiting for a class or during lunch at work. I do enjoy that fact that you can take it everywhere with you and you can set it down at just about any moment and come back to play later. It's a good game that could be played for many, many hours.

FFTA battles did go slow but then i picked up FFT and saw how fast the battles went in FFTA compared to FFT... but thats my opinon. And i havent picked up FFTA since about Feb or so... i finished the game and got all secret characters (shera,....) so i didnt care much...

I played FFTA, but found the story pretty un-interesting. It screamed "childs-fantasy-novel," but then again I didn't get very far. I'll just stick with FFT ^_^

I still play FFTA, right now I got roughly 190 missions done and have a clan level of 52. I named mine Bahamut, just sounded cool, its a great game, but so many missions, and its way too easy. I only lost once when I accidently had Marche break a R5 rule, had saved in battle and forgot later on.

I think the storyline isn't so bad, nothing spectacular, but honestly, the gameplay is what makes it truly awesome, I just wish it was a little tougher, the enemies make some truly dumb moves and get themselves killed way too often.

Eh I found the story pretty interesting even though it was a bit on the childish side. I love FFTA too bad I never played FFT. I should borrow my friends an try it some day.

I've been looking to play FFTA, but I have not the money. i would take me roughly 2-3 months to save up the money I need to buy a new GB and FFTA. However, I did just pick up FFT again two days ago, and I'm having a blast playing it again. Wonderful storyline, deep battle system, and TONS, and I do mean TONS, of secret stuff to find. There is just so much to do and so many different ways to play the game, I think anyone who hasn't tried it, should. I think next to 7, Tactics probably ties for second/third best FF game.

Nothing to do

Way back when I was leveling thief and dragoon I had nothing to do, so I played FFTA while lfp. As a testament to the time spent LFP, I currently have this record:
Clan: Sohryu
Clan Level: 78
Skills: 99 (cap)
Char's name: Ammut
Jobs: Gold Star on all.
Missions: 300
Ritz O Shara O Cid O Quinn O
Extra Mission x6

Re: Nothing to do

Clan: Butt
Clan Level: 69
If I remember correctly, all mmebers were either Bangaa Gladiators or Human Fighters.

It was a shit show.

After having played through, I thought up of this idea to make a Moogle Gunner Clan, I named it MogMarines, and named the kid MogGnrl.

Needless to say, every moogle I had was gunner/filler job needed.

As luck would have it, the first Combo learning item I got? The Gun.

This game isn't really that fun in comparrsion to Final Fantasy Tactics, however, this game did keep me awake in math class a while back. It was too easy, much like most games made within the last 6 or 7 years.
