Really??? Part II

OK that leaves 2 options for nugo.
Either he:
A) had a stoneskin/poisona/selfcure/ect bot actve for the party.
B) While there he repeatedly ignored equests by the entire party to cure,use bloodpacts as a SMN no less, or just respond period. He was repeatedly told just say something /anything or be kicked form the party and refused to respond all while recasting buffs like stoneskin ,poisona when hit with poison, and curing himself When the brd got there to replace him when no whm or rdm were in sight we kicked hissorry asss immediately.( if a cor/whm can mainheal then a cor+brd can mainheal and allow us to kick ass even faster)

When the rdm left in party the cor/whm had to mainheal due to nugo either "having the lights on with noone home" or blatantly refusing to do what he was invited for (healing/bloodpacts). He only got kept in the party for the extra mp/tic from evokers roll to assist the cor who didnt wanna wait on his sorry ass while we got a replacement.
So assuming you are completely correct Eor in that he doesnt use a bot in any form... he got outclassed as a taru smn by a elvaan cor/whm in almost no MP+ gear in the role of mainhealer. He apparently didnt even really cast cure when he was there according to the rdm. That's why he said we didnt notice him afking( Nugo wasnt doing anything when he was there in the first place apparently other than some bloodpacts). Kudos to the cor and the rdm in that party for doing a great job btw.

I repect your opinion eor but from my experience with him both conclusions that can be made make him less than an ideal candidate for any situation.
A smn that doesnt use avatars when repeatedly ordered to or somone who uses a bot for something as pathetic as poisona.
Or do will we see a "my brother had my character" defense?

Maybe he was busy irl, stop dogging on him. lol, When i pt'd my brd with you in that pt i bearly did anything other than songs, i was on the phone, cooking, cleaning, etc. I also didn't really respond when things were said to me in party because my filters weren't set properly and my chat log was spamming all the text out, and i was too busy/lazy to go back and look, lots of things can happen. Everyone seems to think nowadays that as soon as something isn't right OMG IT'S A BOT. jaysis.
 
Battle text may pass by in a spam with poor filters, but if you don't have tells/party/LS chat set to "hold" (thus largely preventing it from being spammed by without your notice, unless you're actually not looking at your screen), you're either very new or have gone a very long time without learning something very useful. Even so that can only justify missing *some* text directed at you, it's quite the feat to miss everything. :P

And honestly if you're that busy IRL you should either a. announce it to your party and see if they want you around even only quasi-responsive/effective, or b. bow out. There are five other people there after all (z0mg internet people are unimportant z0mg), that alone deserves at least a notification that you're busy, and preferably your semi-full attention.

Wasn't there, mind you, and I don't really care about the outcome of this either way, but I have a tendency to hop in and point out when an argument doesn't hold much water. :P
 
Oh i agree, but i wanted merits really bad because it was right after the maint >_>;;; and btw, zomg /doesn't want to admit it, what's this "hold" feature you speak of? <_<;;;;

And Edit : sure my arguement holds water, shit happens man. Not just saying that mine was excusable but i dont know why nugs wasn't tentative.

Right after maintenance was the height of when I *didn't* want to merit. I despise competing for merit mobs as if they're HNMs.

Hold: Go to chat filters. For tells, party, and LS chat (I don't believe you can set says or shouts to hold, too lazy to check though), it cycles through "hold" in addition to "off" (see it normally) and "on" (don't see it). In addition for tells, both "off" and "hold" have a variant with I think a musical note by it, that turns on the "tell chime".

When it's set to hold, that variety of text will be stuck at the top of your chat log for at least a few seconds (giving you time to read it), while the chat log scrolls by underneath it. If the chat log's moving slowly so the text has been visible in it for however-many-seconds anyway, then it'll just scroll off as normal. Forget the exact length of time it's forced to stay around, think it's 5 or 10 seconds.

I find it interesting that the original subject of the first Really??? thread has a new flame about him, right now, on the front page of the Flameboard.

He's still n00bing it up, and so will this one, probably. It's not for lack of trying, I think, from many of us ... it's simple because not enough were brave enough to either try to "help" them improve, or boot them when they refused to ... so now we're drowning in them.

What makes it catastophically worse is the fact that the economy's at one of it's all-time lows. Half of the everyday crap people can get (and yet somehow still fail to obtain) can be covered by the gil given by attaining the rank needed to ride the airship, for god's sake.
