I haven't played FFXI since April, and let my account go default at the beginning of May. So I was curious... What do I have to do do play again? Just contact SE and pay them? Any advice would be helpful, thanks!

If you didn't delete your characters or anything you should be able to pay whatever months payment you owe and hop right back into the game.

Not entirely true! If you let your account sit and dont play for say, two months, then you gotta pay for the month you didnt play for, and the current month youre on.

This happened to me when I paid for my account with Veovis on it.

Stoneribs, however, my secondary account, sat untouched for four months, at least. When I went to pay for it, all I had to do was pay for this month and thats it.

It'll probably just have you pay for the month your in. If not, then wow, theyre fuckfaces and I got some months for free apparently.

I was gone for 8 months after my credit card was stolen. The account was frozen and I couldn't log onto PoL till I had a new credit card. So I quit and came back recently. Put in the credit card I was going to use and only had to pay like normal monthly fees no over charge or anything. My char was there gear and all along with my mule so all they did was just freeze my account.

Be that as it may, Veo is correct. If you let your account go default (ie: Not paying a month and letting the account close) you need only pay the month you defaulted on and likely the month you started playing.

Say you stopped paying for the game the month of October, and then came back December 27th. You would have to pay for the month of October, then again for December.

I hope that was a tad more clear as to what you need to do to become that balding paladin we all know and love once more.

yeah, if you just didnt pay them and they closed it, you'll need to pay that month only, not the ones that came after. But if you canceled your content IDs(what you pay for) but left your characters up, then you shouldnt owe any money.
