Record of Agarest War

This week's Weekly Famitsu magazine has revealed a new RPG for the PS3 titled Record of Agarest War. The game is a collaboration project between Idea Factory, Red Entertainment and Compile Heart that handle game system, script and publishing respectively.

This fantasy-oriented simulation RPG features characters which will take place across five generations. The game's world will also features five different continents and players will venture one continent at a time as each generation is born. The main hero will be succeeded by the next, though its abilities and attributes will depend on which heroine the player chooses as his partner.

As for the battle system, players will enter into the battle phase when reaching "battle points" in the field map. Like most simulation RPGs, it will use squared grid system and battles will be turn-based.

Importers can check out Record of Agarest War scheduled for a September 27 release in Japan.

theres another article there too talking about the RPGs coming to the PS3. It mentions NIppionichi already making a new Makai, called Makai Wars. Give the PS3 some time, and it will be the RPG powerhouse the PS2 was. =)

oh that's awesome ~_~ Makai Kingdom was so amusing I mean.. there were some down falls like the story sometime didn't really come up.. like in Disgaea or Phantom Brave or other NIS games the story was always added with a bit more each chapter of the actual game, but this one didn't do that.
