And really, people say keeping DRK at 72 is for Octave is gimp, but won't you still totally kick their ass in damage when it comes time to SEBW zerg something? =P

Kraken Vs Octave...

People with Kraken Clubs laugh at Octave Club, and with every right to. Kraken Club is superior for the sole reason that it can be used 'properly' at 75, which means added stats, meritable job traits like Desperate Blows, and added gear choice (namely Walahra Turban and Homam Corazza set). It does seem unfair comparing the two these days however, when you consider the low odds of actually getting a Kraken Club. Octave Club is obtainable by a now-totally-uncamped NM, which means it's fairly easily accessable by DRKs. And for 50,000,000+ Gil less than a Kraken Club, it's a pretty sweet deal.

With the new haste cap somewhat 'nerfing' Rune Chopper, and Kraken Club's availability, it seems like Octave Club is the only realistic option for 'zerkers now. People need to stop comparing it to KC, and realise Octave's potential. I'd rather have 3 Octave DRKs at 72, than 3 DRKs at 75 with anything else (other than Kraken...).

Yeah, desperate blows must be great for kraken zerg, you know, considering it's a ONE HAND weapon and all.

Might be true, but I <3 my drk and I'd personally rather be 75 lol

I'ma just get a Bahamut Scythe for now and use that for the time being ;3

Apparently you've never tried attaching a Kraken Club to a Stave before. Get with the times old man.
