Synopis:
The Undead Nightmare Pack is an upcoming piece of downloadable content for Red Dead Redemption. The release date is late October. The Pack will feature an entirely new single-player campaign that follows John Marston as he tries to find a cure for the highly infectious zombie plague that has spread across the frontier. The price will be $9.99 US dollars, or £7.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. Here's the content in the words of Rockstar:

Then, later this fall, we will be presenting our original mostly Single-Player DLC release: the UNDEAD NIGHTMARE PACK.

In addition to the lengthy single-player adventure, The Undead Nightmare Pack features brand new gameplay mechanics, weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures and even a brand new secret location.

All this, plus some new multiplayer modes and much more to be revealed in the weeks ahead. The Undead Nightmare Pack will be available simultaneously for download via PlayStation Network ($9.99) and Xbox LIVE (800 Microsoft Points). We'll have lots more info soon.


The pack will include:

  • New single player missions and challenges
  • 8 new multiplayer zombie characters
  • Zombie animals unleashed into the world
  • New dynamic events
  • Brand new gameplay mechanics
  • Mythical creatures
  • A brand new secret location

My thoughts exactly. I am looking forward to this DLC..zombie bears is fuckin' awesome. I would imagine this be released closer to Halloween..not that much longer ;D

I've been getting tired of people trying to cash in on the zombie craze with lame games and game modes. But this is, as stated, epic. A smart and well executed move.
 
If I owned RDR I would totally be all over this. It looks like probably one of the best add ons/update packs ever.
 
Why don't you own RDR? >.> it's one of the best games of the year...
 
The normal game wasn't something that interested me. Hence I didn't want to buy the game. It may be a good game, but if a person has no interest in it, what good is it? It's just not my kind of game, but I do think this Zombie add-on looks awesome.
 
*shrugs* fair enough :P would be nice if you could download add-ons as like.. mini-games. Basically getting what the addon has but nothing else of the main game. Oh well
